Sammon isn't going back to Hearts this window. You're going to need to make peace with that. If Miller arrives at Fir Park I will be physically sick.

Most people decrying Robbo or his appointment were the one's that thought Ross County did a masterstroke by hiring Owen Coyle which would see them outdo us... Owen Coyle was a disaster and Ross County are out of the top league and the League Cup...

Hartley is yet to play a decent 90 minutes and we have no idea what Sammon is being paid. Whatever we are paying is too much.

Sammon was brought in as cover. He started a few games because guys like Main and Johnson weren't fit enough to start. He will be a cheap option because Hearts will be paying a chunk of his wages. Main, Bowman, Johnson (and Tanner when he's fit) will all likely be ahead of him. He'll be fine as a 4th choice. No need to waste money on someone else. Plus he's not as bad as people would try and make out. The same people who told us in the last couple of weeks that Hartley was obviously not going to be the same player again because he had 7 months to get fit and had lost it. And that Main was a half season wonder and now reverted to type.

Has a club ever sacked a manager then failed to get in a replacement? We go through this every time it's not down to fans to choose a new manager. When Robinson leaves the club will do what they always do and run an application process and there will be lots of applicants as always. Then just to make sure we're getting an upgrade we show them a video of Petravicius and ask whether they would include him in a cup final squad.

As an optimist (see also ‘happy clapper’) myself, I don’t really see what the issue is in highlighting the potential for a really tough game.

Spot on. And when you look closely at the posters who are Robinson's biggest critics you realise that they have very odd ideas. The teams suggested for the Livi cup tie by our so called experts were enlightening. One had Maguire at left back with Turnbull in left mid field. Good luck with that Another two had back three selections that excluded McHugh who most would agree has been our best centre half this season and instead one had this new untried guy from Millwall in. There are some very good sensible posters on here whose opinions I respect but there are some roasters.

Way too soon to say that. 2 league games into the season and you have written them all off already? Hasty and short-sighted to say the least. As I have pointed out more than once on here, this time last season, a number of posters were moaning about how shite they thought Dunne was. Same point this season, they are moaning how much we miss Dunne while deciding none of our other new signings are good enough. We'll find out how good the new signings are a few months from now, not on a plastic pitch at Livi today.

Mind after the cup final in 2011 when we kept everyone bar Sutton and replaced him with Higdon and brought in Nicky Law? That’s basically all we needed to do this summer. Imagine in 2011 if we didn’t sign Higdon and Law but instead brought in Fraser Kerr, Francis-Angol, Stuart Carswell, Bob McHugh, Zac Jules, Joe Chalmers, Craig Reid, Tony Straker and Lee Hollis...... That’s what I fear we’ve done this summer. I’m not saying the new guys will be *that* bad, but a couple of decent additions was what we were crying out for. We probably aren’t going to see that much of the new guys so we may never know. Our squad is massive and crucially there are no goals in it. Conor Sammon is an abomination of a signing. I’d go as far as to lump him in with Bob Malcom and Gerry Britton under “players I refuse to accept played for Motherwell”.
