  1. Speaking from experience, I was banned for five years for throwing an empty bovril cup over the wall (sitting in the front row) as was a friend. There was no malicious intent but we were made an example of given circumstances around the time. What we did pales in comparison to what has gone on recently at Fir Park and even worse at other grounds. We weren't 14 at the time and I can only imagine the regret the kid has. We were left with the option of 'supporting Motherwell as we see fit' basically as long as we don't have another brain fart, we'll be fine. The rest of that season I missed one game. I'm sure the kid won't have a problem getting back in (providing he has friends willing to get him a ticket) and he learns from his mistake. I'm not condoning throwing stuff onto a pitch, players have the right to not fear for their safety at work but a degree of common sense has to come into it.

  2. Was good to see Campbell, Turnbull, Hastie, Cadden and Scott making an appearances recently (with Semple on the bench). 6 academy products in the same team is great progress and must be a huge selling point when we are trying to recruit.

  3. Jamie Semple has just signed a new 2 year deal. Some good news.

  4. Because he's human. A very bad injury was the main reason and a couple of bad decisions following that.

  6. There was a job advert posted a couple of months ago in advance of Lewis Irons leaving for this role. It seems they have not replaced like for like there. She is one of the people who have been doing the extra filming of games this season too.

  7. Aye, your post just seemed relevant to quote. Always looked a bit mental over there when I was a kid. Can imagine all sorts went unreported. Imagine the 80s with decent CCTV and social media? You’d have opposition fans tweeting videos of you at the fence to your employer demanding you be sacked etc. I think the need for a witch hunt against folk that publicly muck up can be a bit much.

  8. Thank f..k they didn't have CCTV before or after the fence went up in the East Stand. There's a few who frequented that area that might still be serving bans

  9. That would be absolutely fair enough...I actually hope the 'indefiniteness' of the ban, has actually been conveyed to the kid that he'll be allowed back next season, as long as he keeps his nose clean

  10. Just shows how things change well fan hits mcculloch with flag at play off no real outcry, two under 16 boys do something stupid public outcry some fans wetting themselves condemning the singing section. I do not condone the boys actions and believe a ban is appropriate but some of the outrage is complete nonsense. Hands up all those who never did anything stupid they regret in their teenage years.

  11. No real shocks. I suspected that we'd play Accies early to avoid a potential "relegation" party. Sorry sbcmfc.
