  1. Watched the highlights of the Hibs v Livi game and Lyndon Dykes had the most embarrassing dive to try to win a penalty. So much worse than Manzinga's against St Johnstone but no booking. Totally inconsistent. Also as others have pointed out Accies players wasted time and stole yards at free kicks and throw ins with no sanctions. The ref on Saturday was the worst one for inconsistency I have seen this season.

  2. No offence Busta. But that is a lot of nonsense. Polworth has one of the best work rates in the team. The guy does an absolute shit load of running and covers a lot of ground. Even Robbo himself stated that he regularly tops the most miles covered in a game. Think you are doing him a massive injustice.

  3. I booked a long weekend on the basis that we weren't at home that weekend. So the Ross County fans can get their merry little asses down here on Wednesday.

  4. Those hounding him out the door are wild, the second is probably a booking but I don't think there much in it, He tries to win back possession and is a bit late, it's not as though he has absolutely flew in to the challenge at any great pace or anything. Maybe a silly tackle to make in the grand scheme of things but you seem them go unpunished multiple times in a game. The boy Hunt's tackle on Aarons has went relatively unmentioned, that is a wild challenge, a sending off every day of the week, late, reckless, our of control, at speed, doesn't win the ball, anything else?

  5. Yes, I'm sure timing is a factor. Its not the first time that I've seen a shocking tackle put in by an Accies player early doors (we're not totally blameless BTW) and escaping with a yellow card when a red is warranted. I'd take the opposite view to the ref in these circumstances. Let the players know early doors that bad tackles will not be tolerated and that would stamp out most of them later on in the game. I'm 100% not against robust tackles but really horrendous ones like Hunt's no way. Fans pay to watch teams trying to play football not players being wiped out cynically. By letting culprits off lightly the referee encourages niggles and ill feeling to build up and pretty often more trouble follows.

  6. I've been a regular attendee at most away games outside of old firm and Aberdeen, until recently. Everyone has their own price point but £25 quid to watch us v hamilton, on that pitch, in those conditions was just too much for me. Nowt to do with expecting victory...I've been to plenty of games knowing that's not on the cards! I'm also pretty non plussed about the whole rivalry thing. I know it's a derby but it doesn't personally give me the feelings it seems to others. Maybe because of Accies haven't been in the same league as us for the majority of the time I've been watching us since early 90s. Just dont see it as a fierce derby day to be honest.

  7. Just a small point. The category A teams include Celtic, Rangers and Motherwell. The top 3 teams. Shouldn't we take this as a complement that Accies recognise Motherwell are the pride of Lanarkshire, right at the top of Scottish football?

  8. They don't survive on gates - they get a huge wad from the council to rent out those offices in the stand. I used to joke that there was also some tax dodging/money laundering going on too, but the more you read about the strange deals they do to land huge sponsorships with weird sponsors (with such small advertising exposure) the more I believe there is something sketchy going on. The "missing" £800k (or whatever the exact figure was) just adds to my suspicions.

  9. YThe fact that the pie stalls were closed 10 mins into the 2nd half with loads of stuff left says it all about what our fans think of the way Accies treat us. I hope they lost a fuckin fortune today. How they survive on the gates they get is a mystery to me.

  10. I am I missing something. Why should Burrows explain anything ? This is a decision by Hamilton to price and grade our game the same as the Old Firm. Thinking we would always turn up as 2000+ supporters. WELL you know what pricing affects football too so get it right up Hamilton. As someone has mentioned it will end up costing them £20,000 + as a result this season. No doubt this decision has backfired on them. As for the Long sending off. Did not see him kick the ball away but his 2nd yellow was a mistimed tackle with no malice. Maybe it was a yellow but Scott Brown can make 20 of those tackles a game without a card. I would not exaggerate to say I see half a dozen of those tackles a game without a card. It was harsh on him imho. So would rather people got off his back.

  11. Everyone knows you don't kick the ball away. Stupid regardless of any refereeing inconsistencies.

  12. I am starting to think that Motherwell are modelling themselves on Scotland rugby team. Granted they are winning in Italy right now. But they seem to have mastered the art of self imploding and losing games when they should not. Not at the game but to get 2 yellows in a handful of minutes is peak stupid. A long way to go but that gives them the impetus and a definite advantage. A draw from here would be a decent result. Can we just stop being fannies for a wee while Motherwell
