Rock solid Steven O’Donnell. Always making himself available, passed with skill and accuracy and never gave away possession, and but for a superb Pickford save would have scored a technically excellent goal. Really proud of him and how well he represented Motherwell as well as Scotland.

Starting tonight. Absolutely chuffed for the guy.

The whole team were outstanding,I'm chuffed for o'donnell,to see one of our players perform like that in a game of that magnitude I'm well proud.

With resigning Fox, and rumours we are trying to get Kelly back on loan, you would have to think that Carson is not ready to return to the first team. All just speculation and the rumour about Kelly could be completely groundless, but that is what happens in the phoney war before a new season gets underway. I genuinely hope there is less to it and Trevor can make a full return to fitness and between the sticks for us. He is an excellent player and deserves a bit of good luck for a change.

Thankfully top shirt designers disagree and are only too happy to delve into a clubs past kit/badge history. West Bromwich Albion are just one of a few clubs who have used their retro script badges to great effect in recent years.

I was really sad to read this news at the weekend. I remember reading many of his posts on here and on twitter less than 24 hours before we found out he had sadly passed. Like many on here I never knew Andy personally, however when I started the Motherwellnet website many years ago I had asked him for some information as he had the Exiles Club website and he provided an array of information and so much more including season reviews, images, player info etc which was always appreciated. I always enjoyed his post match analysis as he always seemed to wait until the evening to give his tuppence worth on the days events whether we won, lost or drew. He will certainly be missed by many around these parts.
