  1. What’s McGinley done wrong tonight ? I think he’s had a pretty decent first half.

  2. The same 3 in midfield that’s been awful the last 2 games ? Not for me.

  3. I know people prefer different styles of play and have different opinions on individuals, but I still find it hard to believe anyone can watch a game and think that Maguire "lacks in so many areas and brings almost nothing". He's not perfect, but watching young players like him develop is one of the reasons I enjoy being a 'Well fan. He's definitely improved since GA took over and I was very happy to see him extend his contract.

  4. The minute I stepped out the door and almost got blown across the road I had an inkling this one might be a 0-0 draw. Obviously terrible conditions and a terrible game. We were slightly better than a very poor Hibs team but going down to 10 men meant despite the booing from the crowd we had to make a tactical change. Unfortunate for Tierney but I can understand the manager's thought process. Donnelly has no excuse two bookable challenges and to make the second one when he knew he was already booked was frankly. well, dumb as fuck. Overall a point from the match and 4 points from 9 against Hibs is a reasonable result. But it won't be remembered for any silky soccer. One too consign to 'Forget ASAP'.

  5. Donnelly can have no complaints there, that was just plain daft.

  7. I think though he has to be judged on his performance tonight which has been very good for me. If he’s going to take stick after that first half he might as well leave now because he’s got no chance.

  8. When he is more decisive and adds aggression to his game he is a solid full back, as he has done tonight. For me he is far too unsure of himself and too passive normally. As you say tonight he's been pretty good. I'd like to see him be a bit more creative in the final third. Him and O'Donnell.

  9. I think you could sum that up by saying we're narrowly ahead on points.

  11. What is the starting line up all about, midfield is slow and defensively minded. Two left backs in defence, I really hope they prove us wrong

  12. Bigirimana is part of a Glentoran team that are finding their groove again in the Irish League, but hasn't featured for them since the turn of the year. They are saturated with options in the middle of the park, so his time there may be limited after January. On the blue side of Belfast, Christy Manzinga has 17 or 18 goals for the season so far, second top scorer behind Glentoran's mercurial striker and convicted sex-offender Jay Donnelly. Rohan Ferguson is having an up and down season in goals for Larne. He's been at fault - or certainly could have done better - for a few goals that have contributed to them sliding out of title contention. For anyone interested in seeing how good/bad the Irish League is, there's at least one live game a week on the BBC iPlayer, either on a Friday night or a Saturday 530 kick off. Tends to mainly be games involving the Belfast sides, plus Larne and Coleraine, and it's very rare for there to be a game without goals, drama, controversy or abysmal refereeing.
