Sorry, this is the absolute bare minimum required for a goalkeeper at any level, above that you rate organisation, command of the box etc. You're right about him not being international class, but shot stopping is why you are even trained to play the position.
Max was good going forward first half. Second half he struggled and if he played in the league for us teams would target him.
Second half Iceland changed tactics to account for the fact that Scotland had nothing on the left hand side and neither Smith or Doak were tracking back and got their two goals to win the game. Scott Gemmill shown up as a clown again but him and Billy Stark seem to be in jobs for life.
Despite that it was a good game and Scotland had the chances to be out of sight. Doak and Morrison were stand outs and if Doig and Ramsay were available they would have won easily.
Totally see where you coming from. Kelly's height and distribution can work against him. What I don't understand is why if he is no.2 is Clarke isn't prepared to give him a game for experience. Gordon still no.1 which can't be argued against but he's nearly 40. Euros will be his last campaign
Just on the subject of Gordon, I saw a stat yesterday that He has faced the 2nd most shots in the league, think Kelly was 4th most
I know they say a good goalie can win you a few points a season but Gordon's contribution must be well into double figures.
As others have said a half each and they would both have got a cap
