I think we'll win today and by more than a single goal. No clue why, maybe it's the rum in my hot chocolate but we deserve 3 points and need to bring this awful run to an end.3 points

Personal view is we're a team that's improving. we've only lost 1 of the last 5 games Appreciate the winless run and the concerns we all have but as the weeks go on I think SK is doing a lot well. We needed to strengthen midfield and we have , we needed Gent and Spencer in wingbacks and we have. If we strengthen midfield and attack in Jan I think we'll be pretty solid. The issue for me today was Slattery/SPittal offer very little. As most one of them should play but due to lack of squad both are getting a game. I personally see things getting better. I've seen much worse performances than what we've put in over the last month.2 points

And yet we had a fair amount of fans on this forum claiming that playing an extra midfielder in Paton and having Mika up top on his own was the way to go. It's very easy to come in and claim something isn't the way to go after the game has played out. Our problem today wasn't getting players into positions where they had a chance to score. It was actually putting the ball in the net, and there's nothing the manager can do about that.2 points

Good point and solid performance . back to basics and last 2 performances have been pretty decent Well done team and manager2 points

A decent performance but still 14 without a victory. Kettlewell still needs to win before he loses. It looks like a P45 for Christmas next week. Good performances from Davor, Gent, Blaney and Spencer. Spencer back on form and Blaney had his best game so far for us. Big Bevis never makes it look easy but we are far better with him in the team than out.2 points

I won't be there tomorrow but will do my rallying cry and hope our support get behind the manager and lads tomorrow. With a vocal support it can be a 12th man and please.....pleassseeeeee let's not boo players when they come on or at any time....how on earth that helps a player confidence I will never know ...... When you see some of those poor kids it puts football into perspective. Well done to SK and the players2 points

This is where Im at. A few weeks ago I thought it was looking very grim and that SKs head had gone. However, today we've gone away to the 4th best team in the country who have only lost once at home this season to Rangers, with a patchwork defence and kept a clean sheet. Given the goals we have conceded of late, those bemoaning our poor 4 man midfield might want to have a think about how that was achieved. Had we converted just 1 of the 4 gilt edged chances created in the second half, then we would be sitting with our first win since September. I get that its no wins in 14 now, but the manager did everything asked of him today. If he continues to do that and the players keep playing for him, then that win wont be far away. There is no doubt the squad still needs help in January. But its looking less desperate than it was.1 point

am maybe thinking the same the now grizzly, the board are standing firmly by him, and we are playing a BIT better, there may well be signs that we are coming out the other side relativly un scathed despite not winning in 14 its not as if we are detached at the bottom and maybe just maybe it will be some other feckers turn to go on a bad run and we can go n do what we done last feb, its not as if we have lost the last 141 point

That kind of positive outlook has no place on this forum.......how dare you 🤣🤣🤣🤣1 point

I'm with you pal. No way am I saying this run is acceptable but there does seem a fight about this side, 4 draws in last 5 I know not great but the 2 away draws at Parkheid and today are ones we would be happy with. It's the 2 home draws that were bad ones. I still feel it's a different situation from end of Hammell reign, players genuinely looked like chucked it then but current crop don't give that impression. However.......we badly need to go on a good run.1 point

Anything's a possibility, but past experience and the laws of probability would suggest it'll end before then. Whatever else this team is, it's not much worse than most of its opponents, nor has it given up. If you want rid of Kettlewell to get us winning again, that's understandable, but there's absolutely no guarantee who or what will follow. He walks and is replaced by Frail, Foster or Clarkson - does anyone fancy that? And if not them, who? Ian Murray would be the obvious candidate, but why the hell would he take the job at this time? Whatever side of the fence we're on with this, it's all guesswork. Hammell's sacking seemed inevitable and necessary to virtually everyone. Despite this run, I don't think a huge majority feel the same way about Kettlewell - yet.1 point

We kept a clean sheet at a very difficult venue and generated more than enough chances to win the game, most of them coming when we had 1 up front. We weren't perfect, but we were well organized and fought until the final whistle, finishing in the ascendancy. Whether SK is manager in the new year remains to be seen, but blaming him for today's result not being a win is a stretch. Who other teams are bringing in to manage them isn't filling me with confidence that we can find someone better either.1 point

Seems only fair to mention Kelly had a good performance today in dreadful conditions. Well done that man!1 point

The problem with Spittal, is that alll our opponents know hes our only creative player. So they close him down and mark him out the game. Slattery or a nother needs to step up when this happens. Given that this is the best St Mirren team to ever exist, we have done well so far, but do need to do more up front.1 point

The positive is we’re competitive , working hard and winning most of the 2nd balls . Having paton and Davor in midfield helps - need a bit more quality1 point

St.Mirren really are a detestable shower of odious pricks who have always been way above their station. The only good thing about them was their old ground at Love Street and that's long gone. A win here would be delightful on so many levels.1 point

It's a funny one as Stephen Robinson seemed to set that trend with us where we were either sugar or shite for long periods with no in between but this has carried on with the likes of Alexander and Kettlewell, but it's a trait Robinson has also continued at Paisley. St Midden had a solid start to the season but they have started to stutter as of late, I think they have only lost once at home and that was against Rangers. No doubt it'll be a tough one but it would be tremendous to arrest our run against those smug pricks. I thought we were more robust last week but a brain fart cost us, hopefully we can eliminate these silly errors as I genuinely feel we have a decent enough squad.1 point
