  4. The problem for Halliday is that he came with a pedigree so expectations are higher. Im hoping his issues are just lack of football and match fitness and that its not that his legs are just gone. Happy to see how he looks after a proper pre season and a bit more first team football. We should offer Theo an improved deal because he has earned it, but also to show prospective suitors we are serious about keeping him and if they want him they will need to make it worth our while. If we want to push his value up we need to send out the right signals.

  5. No emoji required, I always judge players on how they perform, don't always get it right as I thought Bair was brutal but he's a great example of how new players should get time to settle and prove themselves instead of being written of as shite after 5 minutes.

  6. Had Hynd, both Whitefords and Morton's Frank Welsh as PE teachers, bizarrely I got on really well with Hynd, even more bizarre though was becoming good friends with Alan Faulds from pre match pints in the Cooper

  7. What a memory jerker that is. Dropped my mum and sister off in the city centre - dad in his wisdom decided we would take in the game. First turnstyle he came too was the main stand at the city centre end of the ground. Got in and were surrounded by priests (hundreds of them). My dad's advice? sit on your hands and we both managed it until Pettigrew's winner - he was first out his seat followed quickly by me. Thankfully we got out without too much trouble. The look on their faces as we celebrated was a joy to behold.

  8. Me and my dad often talk about going to the Cowdenbeath game. The 3-2 comeback against Celtic in the 3rd round probably fired everyone up, and that team could easily have beaten anyone on their day - losing those 2 semis was an education on being a Motherwell fan.

  9. Turns out a professional football manager knew more about coaching players than random punters on a message board.
