They really don't know when to leave things well enough alone.
-
HB have sacked their manager.
-
Liam Gordon's off, apparently.
-
Kieran Ngwenya has rejected a contract offer and left Dunfermline - if we were actually interested in signing him.
-
Very true, and thankfully so. I can say that now, having seen our wee club is still capable of playing decent football, after all.

Undeniably, sometimes it works, results wise. But it didn't work for us when it came to getting folk through the turnstiles, which most of us had probably given up hope of seeing, until last season. Some clubs demand silverware, even at the cost of style. McInnes getting Rangers playing silky stuff (I know) will mean hee-haw if Celtic finish above them. With us, folk will be more forgiving if they're enjoying what they're watching.

Seems he didn't know Jens personally, going by the video of him meeting the staff. "Max Rogers, assistant manager. Hopefully"

I suppose the issue of a manager never having been a professional footballer only rears its head if and when the players start to believe he doesn't know what he's doing. Conversely, we've seen former top players seemingly lose dressing rooms because of their attitudes.

Del, who has one league cup to his name as a manager. We'll see. I'm not sure what 'knowledge of our league' is worth these days. Most players & managers in the SPFL arrive from outside Scotland, and they're rarely here very long. On the downside, too many knowledgeable Scottish bosses seem stuck in the past, tactically speaking, and can't seem to shake off their defeatest attitudes when it comes to taking on the 'big' teams.

Alfred Johansson, according to Graeme McGarry.

It's the JBA derby.
-
Judging by his dressing room speech post-Hibs, Jens clearly understood the significance of those reminiscences and comparisons.
-
Hopefully, we've still got Alexander's tombola in a cupboard, if need be.
-
Maybe he'll be unveiled at the draw.

I'd already resigned myself to waving Eli off this summer, and those goals probably make it a certainty. As long as he's not leaving on the 240, good luck to him.

Collum points out that the KMI panel is unofficial and not part of the SFA, which is true. He then explains its purpose is to stop folk claiming his lot are 'marking our own homework' - which would be fair enough, if they didn't simply ignore the KMI panel's opinions whenever they want, and award themselves a big gold star.

Beaton checked fuck all at that screen. Dallas told him what to award. A clear case of VAR refereeing the game. Collum is a lying prick of the highest order. The end.

I'd agree. McGlynn's a decent manager, but a guy who fits into the 'safe pair of hands' category. He also seems to suffer from the traditional Scottish attitude when it comes to facing the Old Firm. We've just enjoyed a season based on risk and reward, with a manager and players who were willing and (sometimes) able to go toe to toe with anyone, anywhere. It could very easily backfire, but I think most of us are in the mood to twist rather than stick.

An opportunity for skillful players to show their abilities without getting clobbered.
-
I see their last warm-up match is against England. Be interesting to see how Just shows up against EPL players. Ideal shop window for him if he fancies a move down south.
-
If I was the baw, I'd be staying out the road of both those teams. A hoofball masterclass.

Woodward and Bernstein can rest easy. Valakari: Not from what I've seen, and unlikely he'd move. van der Gaag: Jesus wept, not again. Thelin: Definitely not. McGlynn: Not sure he could take us any higher than we already are. Same old, same old, with a predictably awful record against the top 3 this season. Jensen: Who knows? And whether it's him or another new face, that's the exciting part.

How much did Celtic ask for?
-
Could we not get ahead of the curve and appoint an AI manager? If they want to leave, we just switch them off and back on again.

'Disciplinary investigations have been launched into Motherwell v Celtic and Celtic v Hearts in the Scottish Premiership as well as two end-of-season lower league play-off fixtures, the SPFL has announced' https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c70vk78271ro Any guesses where this is headed?
