  4. I'm similar in that I'd rather it was someone unknown to us. However, I don't think there's any logic in that other than if it's someone I know, I probably gave him dogs abuse as an opposition manager. I don't like Robbie Neilson, but that's because he was the hearts manager, I have no insight into whether he'd be a good manager for us, or if some unknown Austrian is better. It's the same with scottish players, we get more excited by a random North Macedonian over some dude from Morton. Even if the latter is the better player.

  6. Lets stop all the Fleetwood Mac jokes and get back to new manager suggestions.......I'd rather Jack (Ross).

  7. Michael Wimmer ‘officially’ resigned on 23rd May and walked straight into another job. That tends to suggest that he had already been making plans to leave long before then.

  8. That would be nearly, but not quite, as depressing as another season of your fun-filled posts of positivity.

  9. Nah I’m not convinced of that. You tend to find that the people who buy the kits will buy them regardless of what they look like and those who don’t, won’t buy them. I genuinely don’t think that chopping and changing the design and template of the kit makes much difference to sales, or any difference atall.

  10. The argument of experimenting or “something a wee bit different” with kits is something I’ve never really got. It’s just my own view but why not keep the “wee bit different” to our training/leisurewear? That way the people who are going to buy the cheaper training/leisurewear (and there are plenty who do, myself included) have that top to wear for five-a-sides/going to the shops/lying on the couch scratching their baws or whatever. But at the same time keep the kit that the players representing the club on the park are wearing as a kit which is traditional and easily recognisable as a Motherwell FC kit?

  11. Nobody is getting uptight we are discussing a valid topic that has annoyed people for years. It should be an individual choice whether you want to be an unpaid advertiser for some random company or product. As has been mentioned in previous posts possibly charging a premium for the logo free shirts might be an option, then its an individuals choice to buy it or not. I'm sure the club could sell logo free kit directly outwith any shirt sponsohip deals, we've done it before with the white tops a few seasons ago, nothing is impossible.

  12. McCall was very good and I liked him a lot. But he had a lot more resource at his disposal than most Motherwell managers. Albeit, some have had similar resource and wasted it. We did have some very good times under his watch though.
