We lost ten million pounds of talent in just Slattery watt Welsh etc We have spent some of that about 1 million as we needed to. We wouldn’t have had a team if we didn’t. These players are finding their feet but probably have the potential to be another 8-10 million They will take time to develop under AJ who needs time to get his ideas over. I think honestly this season is about developing these players and really they should be judged next season. don’t get too high at the wins or low at the defeats.

With the influx of players and an injury list that is easing, what would you say our best 11 is? thor or SEB? left wing Williams or do we move inside and give manny free range up the wing? lowry or Kanga? Said? Where is cookie? faddy and hodge in mid and a back 4 am hoping at the moment they are working on keeping possession and defensive transition.

Agree. It’s too late to get a replacement in. If teams want either faddy or longelo we will speak to you in January. JBA did the same with Maswinhese last year and we fought off suitors. if a player downs tools then the run the risk of no one coming in for them at all. i hope we can keep all three. All three are brilliant. I just think Maswinhese needs some confidence and finally can play without that mask.

This all makes sense. If we take bodo as the model improving the team allows more money generated. The issue then is if we do move to a football campus as suggested in the other post then can and do we have the finances for a new stadia and a trading ground together. this makes me think that we should develop a phase 2/3 level of training ground now to improve players youth team and attract new players with the level and sophistication of the facilities and not build a new stadium. Not ideal and I see the merit in the football campus but don’t want to use the financial windfall just to go bust two years down the line. on a side note that bodo glint stadium looks the dogs…. love the idea of fives pitches padel etc around it with sustainable features. Anyone with a 100 mill spare?

Think we will do any further business? With Kanga down as a forward and the imminent return of Thor and stama as well as sebwhere would you look to add a player to? Looking at the reel I think kanga will play more in the attacking centre mid role providing flexibility with Lowry in the middle. Leaving Said, TM Cook- ster and Vogt for the wings whyte priestman and fad8nger as well as hodge for midfield. Longelo and Williams M Kl and GR as centre backs then Johnny Sod and sparrow as right back. Issue for me then seems to be if anyone does come in it won’t be for cover it will be as better quality than what we have. with the fee involved for kanga I don’t think we will be opening the coffers again so maybe a loan

I think AJ will want to change a number of players out to help manage load. Just not sure if we can. SOD KNIGHT MOORMAN AND WILLIAMS MID IS TRICKY WHYTE HODGE AND LOWRY VOGT SEB AND COOK think he will look to make early changes bringing on sparrow Thor etc and try and manage the returning from injury players. This in particular is going to make this a hard game. Hoping for a win but a European hangover needs managed would take a draw.

Proud of the team. To come up against a top side from a top league and give it a right go is exceptional. Especially as we have lost so many quality players from last year. To get the new team up and running and making connections and building rapport is hats off to the staff and manager particularly when we bring In Players and a couple of games later they have had an injury as for tonight going to be hard to play again with ten men and indeed it’s perhaps noticeable that they never really ran away with it until we were down to ten men clearly though they are a very decent outfit hope we an aspire to be like them gers going out is a mind feck does anyone else know of that will affect 4th place being a Europe spot? Hope Hibs and hearts do well in Europe and we can over come them in the league

Think this is the European money getting spent. player looks to be good. Really want to see what he can do as he seems to be getting a good write up and the fee we have paid. Still think we could be adding a couple for team depth now looks like Connelly Paulsen Sod G-R k-L Moorman McGhee (inj) McGinn (inj) Williams (inj) Johnny (inj) Wilson and Longelo looks like fadinger Whyte sparrow ( inj) priestman (inj) and hodge for dm lowry Cooke said vogt maswanhise ross and kanga for the attacking mid/ wingers thor (inj) stama (inj) hendry (inj) booth and PH for striker must think that Thor and stama will be back soon. I just get the feeling that as soon as someone is coming back someone else gets injured.

Agree. The load on faddinger priestman is massive Lowry hodge just in the door Williams is out. SOD McGinn out need a fresh MM for Thursday. We haven’t been able to really work on patterns of play due to the weekend and mid-week games. Could we have performed better? Yes but with the psychology of Thursday we have lost today. Learn from it. First loss of the season. Now we need a performance on Thursday. The team owe us. The team need us. we knew there would be a drop from last year with the players we lost we are still in the process of rebuilding, let’s see where we are at the end of the window.

Just remember JBA talking about managing minutes for players at the start of last season. We haven’t really been able to do that with injuries and players leaving. Happy with the methodology used here. Now let’s get the win! With8n90 would be good too.
