Well as long as you're quite sure of it, that's good enough for me4 points

I watched that game on YouTube recently funnily enough . Fir Park at the Cooper end looked jam packed Met him once or twice and spoke to him. Very pleasant guy One other sketch that stands out was Scotch and Wry , the one where slagging his jacket . Then he asked for the autograph. Do u have a pen and paper ? 🤣2 points

Every team in our league have player injuries. If we start to get to Kettlewell level injuries in training then would be the time to ask questions. Maybe the players need a longer holiday to recover and pre season to get back up to speed, rather than a rushed return.2 points

Sportscene special edition on Saturday to celebrate 50 years. Dougie Donnelly is hosting and Archie commentating on our game. Can't wait to hear him say Maswanhise and stamatolopulous!! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c99mpvzl71ko2 points

One of my favourite Archie moments was Oct 89 and our 3-2 win v Dun Utd, over 8,000 there and a Davie Cooper masterclass. "Ohhhh beautiful reverse pass..........what a goal!!!"1 point

Archie McPherson ooffff , that's a good looking ball up it goes down , along the ground in the air somewhere Isn't it amazing how Stuart McCall looks quite small , but when he's got the ball he looks quite tall Only an Excuse 🤣🤣🤣 but they weren't far off1 point

Of course a deal is close, and of course I don't believe Miller is injured. Most of us can guess where he's going, and I'm sure there are a few journos that definitely know too. Tam's "I know something you don't know" act, however, is hardly the appropriate way to keep it confidential. Sounds more like a wean in the playground.1 point

I'm sure some poster on here recently said 'he'd heard that the injuries were down to Kettlewell'. Did we bring him back in for a special training session ?1 point

Really? An entirely new management team, a young player from a top academy, and this is your take? If we get several more similar injuries in the coming weeks you might have a point, but at the moment its an isolated incident.1 point

It's been pretty average for preseason. If it was still SK level, I'd be worried.1 point

Miller's deal is Bologna, btw. Guaranteed. You heard it here 1st 2nd 273rd.1 point

Given they've won twice, drawn once in Europe is it possible we made them look worse than they are?1 point

Was that why Dougie Donnelly's picture was on the desk on Saturday night? I actually wondered if he'd passed , I don't recall them offering any reason for it on the programme, though I could have missed it as I skim watched the opening and Kille game.1 point

Now down to a single striker. St Mirren will be monitoring this news no doubt. https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2025/08/06/eseosa-sule-injury-update/1 point

If I was making a career defining move, Tam is certainly the first person I'd tell.1 point

Tam Cowan stated openly on Off the Ball on Saturday that the deal has been done and he knows the destination but was sworn to secrecy until it is announced this week. I presume the clubs are waiting until there is a clear news day to make the announcement. I would guess/hope that is today before we get into more Euro qualifiers tomorrow......1 point

Don’t know much about this lad and I can’t recall him playing up here to any extent but his scoring record isn’t bad at all.1 point

Askou says Lennon Miller is recovering from injury, and there’s nothing new to add, as speculation mounts over a big-money move. He said: “Everyone has potentially played their last game for Motherwell if there comes a big club, who put an offer on the table that we can’t resist. “But Lennon has done really well in his recovery with the staff, and we knew it was going to be a long shot if we were going to make him ready for this weekend. “But I think there is a very good opportunity that he will be ready for next week, if he’s still here. “For now he’s still a Motherwell player, so we are doing our very best to prepare him to be part of what we’re doing next week.” On potential signings, Askou said: “We are working hard in the background because we’re still too few, and we need to add some width and extra quality, to raise the level of competition. “We’ll see if we make something happen during the week. If not there is a new week after that, but we’re doing it as fast as we can.”1 point

It was the same for us last season with Aberdeen. Digital for home fans and paper to be collected at FP for away fans. For the second visit MFC were persuaded to hand out pre purchased tickets at the game for those that could not get to FP. Common sense came through. No reason they could not do the same on Saturday if the willing is there. Also Tynecastle last season our postal tickets did not arrive in time so relying on the mail is risky. In fairness Hearts issued duplicates on the day after Motherwell contacted them.1 point

I'd hazard a guess and say that they're a big enough club now that they don't want away supporters.1 point

Jeez how to kill the mood!! I would like to think we didn't allow Rangers to play and they were fortunate to get a point. Yes things needing improved but it's the first game of the season under a new manager and new style. Only way JB will leave us will be if he gets pinched by a bigger team. I know it's hard but can you try and be positive just for once....go on......you can do it 🤪🤪1 point
