One worrying thing for me is that two managers, McInnes and Presley have changed things at half time and we have struggled. After the first round of games all managers will have had a close look at us. Let's hope JBA is able to adjust our way of playing if the opposition has sussed us out.
I don't agree with that. I don't think it's other teams "sussing us out". When teams are losing of course they are going to try and change shape to try and win - and let's not forget we have a weakened midfield just now with Slattery out. Just was benched due to his international travels - we are weakened with injuries just now as well plus we lack options up top.
Of course it's concerning that we can't hold onto a lead but we aren't the only team in the same position just now. Five games in. I think we need to cut JBA a bit of slack just now
He has previous for that. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but it felt like every week we lost (or didn't win) he told the press he had a recent meeting with the refs who told him the exact opposite decision would be made on a call that went against us.
I actually thought our style of play of playing it our from the back would result in a few more silly goals but it hasn't. The goals we are losing has nothing to do with our style of playing out from the back it just rank bad defending and goalkeeping.
Think teams worked out how to play against us, being more direct and putting pressure on defence and goalie in final third. Goal we conceded today was very poor.
Could be worse. We could be Aberdeen or Rangers.
It'll come. We're five weeks into a season with a complete change of players and style.
We've outplayed everyone we've seen this season. It'll come good at the top end in time.
Another good thing is we're five games undefeated, which is miles better than the five games without a win it would have been if Kettlewell was still in charge 😂
Watch the 3rd goal back. AP runs back towards the halfway line and drags his centre half with him, whilst doing this he's pointing exactly where SOD's ball needs to go.
I think AP should be doing better with the few chances he gets but it looks like he's doing exactly what Askou wants him to do for the benefit of the team right now. The goals will come.
