  2. If we haven’t been paid upfront……Let’s have our plain claret band on our kit as soon as…. Until we get another shirt sponsor COYW

  3. Really poor game in Edinburgh so far. Blood and guts with zero football being played. id love us to start well tomorrow and get an early goal, I think Rangers could potentially struggle if we do that and their crowd, who now think they are world beaters, will fume.

  4. Watt is starting as striker, JT right back, Sparrow left wing and Priestman central defence.

  5. I find it a wee bit peculiar that the club haven't made any comment on this.

  6. He’s been as good as a man down for the past season and a half. We’ve played different systems and it’s largely been the same story with him, so it can’t just be about the shape or style not suiting him. Hopefully he does well over there, gets his career back on track, and we can recoup some of our investment.

  7. With our success this season you would think a lot of potential sponsors would be out there

  8. £34 is a stinger I agree. I bought one for the POD too. I was able to call them though and pay over the phone, they just sent me the tickets via email. I was able to do that as I have an account, I’m really surprised you had to do that, that’s ridiculous

  9. From all the interviews from players (and staff), we seem to have the mindset of staying in the present, focus on winning the current game and the league position will take care of itself. All very Zen, but I think its the best strategy as there's no need to put any additional pressure on the players. I have no doubt the team will be well prepared and well drilled for this one, so it's all about executing the plan. With the current team I don't expect to win every game, but I go into every game thinking it's very winnable. This one is no different.

  10. Hospitality is a mugs game these days. I don't want my Society contributions going to subsidize a failing business.

  11. First he said he was taking abuse at Fir Park. When that was questioned he decided that it was his family that was getting abuse at Fir Park. When that was questioned he said it was on social media or his kids at school. I'm sure there were fans telling him he was useless during his long winless spell. I'd be surprised if anyone in the Main Stand was abusing his immediate family (although they may have heard fans yelling at him). Kids getting teased at school because their dad's a football manager sounds like par for the course regardless of what team you manage. If any of that was true, then I agree, there is no place for it - but it sounded more like excuses for his failure, and he didn't want "damage his brand". If he had been like Robinson or McCall, and told the truth that he was no longer able to get a performance from the players despite everything he had tried, I'm sure he would at least have had the respect of most fans. I'm also sure, if his family was taking abuse at Fir Park, the club would have worked with him to stamp it out. Of course, if you are a football manager or player who expects to go through every match without taking a bit of stick when you lose, then you are probably in the wrong profession.

  13. It's scary how this situation could materialize at just about any club, where a dodgy owner loses the run of themselves, or internal politics strangle a club. Even owners/execs with best of intentions can royally screw things up. What has happened at Accies over the last few years is just a whole other level though. How it took until now to deem their owner and chief execs as not fit and proper to run a football club beats me.
