  1. although i agree with you, McCall ruled this out today: Meanwhile McCall has dismissed speculation with Kirk Broadfoot following the defender’s departure from Rangers. He said: “I don’t know where these links come from, I really don’t. No disrespect to Kirk who has been a fine player but he’s certainly not one that we’ve discussed “ http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/celtic/187726-motherwell-boss-admits-celtic-made-enquiry-over-winger-chris-humphrey/
  2. One of the two defenders he beat actually slipped and fell over while the other one was done by sheer pace, while it was an absolutely fantastic ball he put in the box, it is literally the only good thing he has done this season so far. Also the ball was along the deck so no idea how Ojamaa or Higdon could of used there noggin.. The fact you can remember every single thing that could of possibly be taken as a positive from all of Humphreys performances show how pish he has been lately. His performance against Pana at home to me was very gutless, completely hid, never wanted the ball and when he did get it did hee haw, the guy goes into hiding in the middle of a game when things go against him or he suddenly shites himself and its a bit of a liabilty to be honest
  3. very unlikely, but if the week ended with us receiving 200k for Humphrey with add-ons etc, and then Ryan Stevenson in on a permanent deal, i would be well chuffed. Stevenson can play off the striker, in midfield or up front by himself, and Humphrey has not been good at all lately and with him running out of contract next summer its the best were going to get for him, like it or not
  4. Leeann Dempster confirmed on twitter today that he is indeed the new 20s coach: Leeann Dempster ‏@LeeannDempster@MotherwellFC A very warm welcome to our new Under 20 coach, Jonatan Johansson who has officially started at the club.
  5. Celtic wanted a fee, but we got him for nothing in the end
  6. dont know if its been mentioned already but alot of talk from Sheffield Wednesday that theyve had a 600k bid for Hutch accepted?
  7. we dont have to sell Hutch this season, and i hope we dont seeing as he is the heart of our defense, especially for such a dismal fee. Personally, I cant remember having a such a good Centre Back who is so young at the club. Our star man is usually our frontman i.e. McFadden, McDonald, Porter, McCormack, Jutkiewicz, but i genuinely think Hutch is the best player at our club atm and the best weve had since McCormack. For me, no less than 1 million.

    Ojamaa

Personally, i think he is just trying to hard, as though he see's it as his duty to change the game and score a wondergoal or beat a couple of players every time he gets the ball, like thats what he thinks everyone expects of him (even though its obviously not true). I also think he gets really frustrated by the fact his movement is good and he is always running and showing for the ball but rarely gets it passed to him, after a while that can mentally take it toll and maybe hes just not quite right at the moment up stairs..
  9. according to STV, 250k for Hutchy and 100k for Law, both derisory offers that were rightly turned down, each worth far more than that and i mean 4 or 5 times that amount imo http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/motherwell/149679-motherwell-turn-down-english-offers-for-shaun-hutchinson-and-nicky-law/
  10. looks like Levante are going to lose there main player in Arouna Kone to Wigan but have brought in Theofanis Gekas to replace him, not as good but still a decent striker, definitely better for our chances though
  11. guessing because Spains co-efficiency will be huge
  12. they have a really good striker called Arouna Kone who got 15 last season and was linked to teams like Spurs, apart from him, dont know much about individuals in there squad apart from they had the oldest squad and lowest budget in La Liga last season i think! similiar to us in a way: small budget, small squad but punching well above there weight. watched them beat Real Madrid 1-0 last season on the TV and tbh they were diving about everywhere, grew the grass longer to stop them playing etc and just got right up them, Mourinho even congratulated them on there tactics and said it was something he would of been proud of! could be an interesting game also: They have an unbeleivable home record, and a pretty poor away one
  13. A midfielder must be the priority i think, now that Cummins has shown he is well capable of playing in the 1st team and with Ramsden signed i think our defense is looking decent. Whether its a Jennings type midfielder or a wide player and allowing Law to continue playing central i dont know, think the team is crying out for a wee boost and a good creative player would give us a bit of spark that we had last year,
  14. where can we watch the draw? will it be on Sky Sports News or?
  15. apparently he was out in Romania seeing what the club after him were like - called Gaz Metan Medias. They finishes 13th in the league last year so a mid-table side
  16. I did watch him the whole of last season, its not like hes a new signing and has only played a couple of games.. i just never feel confident whenever he has it, bit like when Craigan used to receive it but not quite that bad, i just genuinely think he isnt very good (apart from he has a terrific free kick and is a good crosser). i know why hes in the team at RB because he isnt good enough at CM and his crossing is a real asset, and i know he isnt terrible, but i think he is the weakest player in our team! I wonder if he will get a new contract and stay next year or if Francis-Angol can come through and prove to be a worthy replacement
  17. no idea why noone ever moans about Hateley? IMO the weak link in our defence and cant defend at all really against anyone especially someone with pace. Even when he plays really badly people just shrug it off and say 'hes been one of our most consistent players' which i cant seem to find any basis for.. Im not going to post all over the forum about how bad i think Hateley is, just wondered why hes never really been targeted
  18. saw an article that said Motherwell were trying to get Ojamaa's younger brother on a trial, hes a RB called Hindrek. severely doubt anything will come of it seeing as Stoke want him and he is on trial at Copenhagen but thought it was an interesting thought http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/stoke-eyeing-estonian-teen-hindrek-ojamaa-3402551
  19. judging by the performance against Aberdeen last season, i would prefer to see Cummins at CB than Saunders, every time i have seen Saunders playing central he has not instilled a lot of confidence in me, preferred him at RB tbh, he just doesnt have enough composure at times and often makes strange decisions. If the younger players are better than or as good as the 1st team regulars then they should be getting fast tracked into the side . Pre season is perfect time to have a look at some of them in the side and its good McCall looks like hes going to do that despite not having the best record at doing so. Circumstances will dictate McCall's hand and if he is not able to bring in anyone from outside the club, perhaps this is a blessing in disguise and we will unearth a few young talents, the U-20's this year look like there could a few potential 1st teamers which I would love to see getting a run out.
  20. I must be the only one who was not at all convinced of Saunders when he played at Centre Back.. decent at Right Back but always seemed unsure when he played more central
  21. He was offered to Hibs for 100k and looks he still could he heading back there, dont think we have a chance

    Ojamaa

saw Estonia were pumped 4-0 by Ukraine, no idea if Ojamaa played or not though.
  23. not really, but I was thinking more they could slot in at left back if need be
  24. apparently 'Stevenage have signed out of contract Inverness midifielder Greg Tansey on a 3 year deal' so thats that out the window. Think a left footed centre half would be a very useful signing, and if we have to bring in another central midfielder to keep Hateley out of there then so be it
