  1. i am confident that murphy will not go to the old firm, why on earth woud the board sell him to our league rivals when there are clubs down south willing to pay the same money if not more? another possible advantage of selling to an EPL club like wigan is that if we sell him for say £1.5-2 million and then get a deal that he will be loaned backed to us to 'develop' for one final year we will be able to bring in a couple more quality players and have a really challenge in the league this year. also he may not be at the EPL standard yet, or physically but the EPL managers and scouts know exactly what there looking for and if there properly interested then he clearly is a prospect at that level.
  2. Surely we should be hoping to get more than the £700'000 quoted? If he was playing down south there would be at least a seven-figure price on his head so i dont see why we shouldnt be holding out for at least a million, especially with the market just now. As for Goodwillie and Murphy both 2 different types of players so you cant really compare them, although there both young and got plenty to learn. Would hate to see Murphy leave but surely the money would be re invested into the team would bring us in a couple if not 3 new faces to bolster the squad. And as for Randolph, he was our prize asset last season and without him we would have conceded alot more goals. Would be difficult to replace IMO.
  3. Maybe its just me but was Reynolds not considered one of our best players and a solid centre back before he left? Hes only 24, and has only been gone for only 6 months. He spent 6 years at Motherwell, playing over 200 games.Maybe he is another 'Motherwell standard' player like Craigan? (I dont think that for one minute) Maybe its just hes been used to playing a certain way with one club for so long that when we was shoved into a struggling team with a different style he hasnt had time to adapt. 6 months and 7 games is hardly enough time to judge whether he is good enough for League 1 or even give him a chance to prove he is, especially if hes been playing at Left Back. I would take him back in a heart beat as he was a terrific, composed defender in C&A and was alot less error prone than Craigan. Reynolds and Hutchy would be an exciting partnership, full of talent and potential. Also, i dont think its the physicality that he struggles with, anyone remember him having the 6ft 7" Aalesunds striker in his back pocket the whole game at FP, winning nearly everything in the air? And i dont think he would be less motivated, if he had such a dissapointing spell down south, would he not want to come back and prove himself as the very competent defender he is?
  4. http://twitpic.com/5ji0bh Nicky Law confirmed officially? on 2 year deal
  5. compared to the 95 previous pages of solid transfer facts?
  6. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13990040.stm anybody think we would be in with a chance? or more importantly would anyone want him at the club? was a good player at Rangers but seems to have struggled abroad, wrong decision from Aberdeen in my opinion but..
  7. Wouldnt mind the simple MFC as our badge (minus the 125 years obviously) personally i think it would look smart and professional
  8. i know this might be a wee bit late, but saw Omar Daley, who were linked to several times, playing for his country in the Gold Cup a few weeks ago. The boy looked really good, fast, scored a screamer with his weak foot and looked very dangerous going forward. I think he set up another goal as well. (admittedly against weak opposition) However looked like he could do a job seeing hes a free agent to!
