I couldnt agree more. We need to remember these are players that came to Motherwell and were good, but not that good. Higdon turned into top scorer and player of the year and Humphrey who was too fast for his own good and his touch was awful and had no left foot and every single cross went wayward has turned into a beautiful black swan that makes defences do lots of little poos when he has the ball. Goals at Dundee Utd away and Ross County last day at home show you how much he had progressed. We can now sign players now whose game is much more developed and are better players before they join the club, ala Lawson or even Faddy and turn them into even better players than what they are. If we keep going backwards every 2-4 years to start again then we will never get anywhere. Diddy teams are forever winning the League Cup and doing well in the Scottish. We have the ability to bring in a higher quality of player now and push for silverware and dare i say it, we are well within our rights to believe that we can push for 1st in the league. If your playing 4-3-3 you tend to have 2 sitting players, if your playing 4-5-1 you tend to have 1 sitting. It depends on what team you have and who your against.

Losing Law and potentially Ojamaa id take McGowan... Especially if we get good dough for Ojamaa, signing McGowan would soften a double blow. Although he is a wee coke head fuck from Airdrie and was caught whilst at St Mirren and Celtic, although nothing has ever reached the papers about it both clubs have done well to hide it in their separate instances.

Surely if were modernising it to suit the times then we should get rid of the steelworks and put lines of coke and Buckfast bottles in there instead... In terms of the last 10-15 years with league placements, european qualifications and cup runs, I would say Motherwell are the 3rd or 4th biggest team in the country.... Despite not winning anything. Only thing lacking; - Attendances - Trophies - Financial backing and I agree, the whole "niceness" of us is horrible... We need to stand up and be counted, demand more for our players in with transfers, demand more from our players on the park and I think when we are sitting joint 2nd in the league in January maybe take the gamble and dip into the kitty for that last push and finish second... Whos to say that next year teams like us, Hibs, Aberdeen, Dundee United dont just bite the bullet and go for the title because Celtic are pish and it is a feat that is well entruly in our grasps if we have a can do attitude accepting nothing but the win like the Old Firm have.
