Bair works hard, puts himself about and links the play quite well. He's not much of a goalscoring threat but does that really matter when 1) he's upfront on his own and 2) he's contributing to twenty efforts on goal overall yesterday? He's NOWHERE NEAR as bad as I was expecting with all the shite from St Johnstone fans etc during pre-season. He's just not much of a goal threat, but everything else about him looks decent. Stick a fully fit Biereth or Shaw alongside him and maybe we'll see more goals overall.

I googled Georgie Gent earlier and clicked on the Wikipedia link that popped up and thought "good signing!"

If he's still playing SPFL football at 36 he'll be switched on and have taken good care of himself. He'd only need a couple of weeks and could probably give us an instant impact off the bench had we signed him. He's also scored 150 odd goals in his career. We don't have a striker even CLOSE to that.

I know nothing about him. Is he quick? We lack pace up top so hopefully he’s able to give us something different.

I'd be quite gutted for him if he made it all the way to the Premier League and didn't get a single appearance. I hope he decides to stay and in a few months when he has a new manager he can make his mark.
