15 mins gone and after a bright start it has been flat for 5 mins. Polworth not involved at all. He needs to get involved and make things happen.
-
Watt for his effort. Cole did well when he came in, seemed to inject a bit of pace. Defence were solid but difficult to pick one of them as standouts.

So no defeat as predicted by many, a point gained on most of the teams below us, a clean sheet for a change, not a bad night then, onwards and upwards.
I hope that you are right, but I didn't see anything tonight to suggest that this team will be going upwards.

Having skipped the last two games, I quite enjoyed that tonight and happy to take a point against a decent Aberdeen side. Pleasing to see us look switched on defensively for a change.
For me the defending is far too late in the opposition build up. Too much of the pitch is surrendered and there is no pressure on the ball preventing crosses or some quick passing around the edge of our box. Almost inevitably this leads to having to make last ditch blocks or tackles. I'd much rather defend from the front.

I'll take point from that. Motherwell truly are a side going backwards. I don't recall Lewis having to make a save all night. The old adage is true, if you don't shot you don't score. Dreadful performance, though there has been much worse this season. No entertainment value at all. Just glad that I didn't have to go to Fir Park on a cold December night to watch it.

GET POLWORTH OFF SET PIECES..... ....END OF RANT
If he is the best that we have at Fir Park then we don't have a football team.

Better from Motherwell, but Polworth is a terrible finisher.

When Polworth holds his hand up before taking a setplay is it an apology before he takes it?

No pressure on the ball in our third. Inviting Aberdeen to put useful balls into the box.

Time and time again we send long, high, hopeful balls to the front guys to be swallowed up by the Aberdeen back line.
-
Something needs to change or this is heading for another defeat.

A very poor first 15 mins of the 2nd half from Motherwell.
-
The first touch of practically every Motherwell player is abysmal.

Not the worst first half, we rode out the storm for the first 10 minutes and have held our own since then. Worrying thing for me is we just don't seem to create chances from open play. We don't play a striker in on goal or knock the ball into his feet on the edge of the box and play off of that, it seems to be hopeful punts into the box that we just never score from.
Yes, absolutely no penetration going forward. Watt and Lang do move, but there isn't anyone looking to make a telling pass. Very flat and uninspiring performance so far.

I don't think Peter Crouch is the ref tonight.

Ref marked out 8 steps at that free kick. Not applying 10 yard rule at all.
-
Polworth is a passenger.
-
Worrying that we've played 30 mins and still haven't had an attempt on goal.
-
Good start by Tony Watt who looks lively.
-
Difficult one today, gave my vote to Polworth for the little bit that he did in the final 20 minutes.
-
There are no easy answers. Robbo certainly doesn't seem to have it about him to drive this squad of players forward, but I doubt there are any resources available to do anything about it, either with the playing staff or on the management side. I guess I'm resigned to things staying much as they are and hoping that we scrape enough points together to stay in the league. God help us if we go down this season.
-
Motherwell is a team with relegation written all over them.
-
Well played Polworth, much better. Awful attempt at a finish mind you.
-
Bloody rubbish. Never looking like we know how to get into the final third with any intent at all.
