Definitely one to give us some hope, but a long way to go in his development. I'd be happy for him to get game time from the bench for now. I see him more as an impact player at this stage. Next season will be when I'd expect him to make a real impact and establish himself.

No idea what to expect, but hoping that the manager and the team get it right and at long last turn the corner and get this season on track. I'll certainly be there to back them whatever happens.

I won't judge Laing on 25mins. Straker made a tentative start and seemed to struggle in the first half. May have been due to being unfamiliar with his team mates or playing in a side that struggled to do anything constructive in that 45mins. Certainly much better in the second 45. Seems composed on the ball and able to link effectively with those in front of him. Didn't see much pace from him. Initial impression is that he'll do okay.

Very poor first half. Probably one of the worst I've seen in my many years of watching The 'Well. Much improved second 45 thanks to some positive substitutions. It could turn out to be an important point in our season. I think that is the first time we've recovered something from being behind. Hopefully a turning point.

Great result for the club. I hope that the fans support his decision by getting right behind him and the team for what is likely to be a tough next season.

A really difficult choice today. Team played really well throughout. Ojaama just edged it for me.

I went for Lasley, but I think there were a number of very good performances last night. I'd have put Murphy and Law right in the mix, and I thought Tom Hateley had a very good game too. I totally agree with linsey12, Humphrey was well marshalled and the ball never really got to him in a position where he could run. Also, noticed the vast amounts of space available at times on either wings which wasn't used. We don't switch play quickly enough when the opportunity arises.

For me, on the showing last night I'd like to keep both of them. I think Murphy provides a left sided threat, Ojamaa provides a central threat, and Humphrey provides a threat on the right. A formidable force going forward if we'd only learn to play passes through the defence as well as across it. There were a number of occasions last night where a wee through ball would have opened up the defence, but it just didn't come. So, all in all, we've a good balanced attack, but should work more on seeing the runs that are made.

I've only seen Ramsden play today, but on that showing he looks a better bet than Clancy. He looks more composed, tidy with the ball and always looking for an easy ball out of defence. Much less of a bombscare than Clancy.

Yeah, a pretty decent run out for the team today. Certainly encouraging given our previous perfromances this season. Just missing a bit of sharpness up front, and some speed of thought and movement in midfield. There were a few great opportunities to play killer through balls today that would have opened Everton up, but on most of those occassions they were passed up and the opportunity was lost. That said, there were enough chances created (by both sides) that should have resulted in a higher scoreline. Need to work on finishing. It'll be important to put chances away in the CL game.

Yeah, spot-on about the guys who are signed-up and playing for The 'Well. Right behind every one of them. Expect (and hope) the Celtic bit is just press talk (as usual)! Back on topic, I'm looking forward to the game on Saturday and hope that Hammy gets a great turnout. He's been a good servant for the club and deserves his testamonial.

I'm usually not very optimistic about our chances at the start of each season. This one isn't going to be any different. So, here goes for my expectations; INS & OUTS I don't expect we're going to bring anyone in before January. That means that we cannot afford to lose any more before January. 1st 11 If playing 4-4-2 Randolph Hateley, Saunders, Hutchison, Hammell Humphrey, Lasley, Law, Murphy Higdon, Ojamaa If playing 4-5-1 Randolph Hateley, Saunders, Hutchison, Hammell Humphrey, Lasley, Carswell, Law, Murphy Higdon Europe If the team can get enough football under their belts before the season starts for real, I reckon we might just make the Europa Group Stages after an early exit from Champions League. SPL Mid-table, hopefully top 6 - the squad is too small to achieve any better. Cups A lottery, we're as good as most, but depends on form, injuries and suspensions for the games. So, semi's in both.

I'm hoping that Faddy sees the opportunity available here. He needs to get fit and show that he can still perform, Europe is a great shop window, but he'll likely have to play for nought! He is loved by the fans, and probably within the club. Weigh it up James!

Is there an official DVD of season 2011/12? Some great moments throughout the season. I'd certainly buy a DVD for £10.

Got my CL tickets today. A really good way to show support would be to get all the seats for the Rapid Bucharest game sold. Surely Motherwell will take some of the money from that game.
