Just kept going throughout whole game so perhaps a bit unfair to vote for Said but he made a huge impact when he came on. Likewise Sparrow for the nullified JK. Mentions, as now seems always, to McGinn and Welsh đ

Still buzzing after todayâs result. Ok the performance maybe wasnât as good as some games but having watched FB/insta clips from media team it reinforces JBA comments about not getting frustrated - its obvious that players are totally bought into his system and approach and got the rewards for perseverance. In summary, itâs just a great time to be a Well fan
-
Didnât realise he was at Killie. I know he wasnât everyoneâs favourite but I genuinely think he had some good moments as Well player. In the sliding doors/alternate universe which is JBA I reckon DT could flourish
-
Utdâs problem isnât really scoring, itâs their defence. I think weâll do well to keep our run of clean sheets continuing so at least a couple of goals will be needed for the win. Iâd settle for draw at moment. prior to StM they had apparently never gone 6games without a win under Goodwin. May it be unlucky number 7 for him.

I noticed on BBC preview of game it has, in addition to usual list of long term injuries, Jordan McGhee out with thigh injury. Couldnât remember, is this a long term injury and has he has ever been fit for selection under JBA?

I happen to agree with this but on other hand I have no issue with some people coming on a fans forum and having a vent at manager / players etc. I had rest of family with me yesterday all really up for game and it was a crushing disappointment. im sure the players will feel the pain but unlikely to be anywhere near what we all do. best way they can make it right is winning against Aberdeen and Killie and Iâm sure many, if not most, will be up for the Hibs game under lights.
-
I agree but will some people start looking enviously at Dundee third in table and their âdinosaurâ manager.
-
The difference here is that those two were against teams counting to try and actively score more. Martindale will quite happily have his team sit back as much as required to let us give them another chance. I donât think either AP or Hendry are good enough to spearhead the system. Might be worth trying them together (ideally) before the game is totally gone

Genuine question for those who seem the most concerned about 5 draws. Assuming our points were same after 5 games would you prefer that it had been based on 1 win, 2 draws, and 2 losses? Eg not inconceivable that games played out differently and we lost to Rangers and Killie (were down in both games) beat Hearts drew StM and Dundee
-
Likewise as a fan but fortunately JBA hasnât shown any sign of that type of thinking and seems to be instilling that belief in the players. I think all of them will want to âmake amendsâ for not winning at Hearts - not just one player. oh and I doubt theyâll give a flying f about Kettlewell.
-
Pretty sure Bruno Fernandez joined Udinese when he was 18 and has done alright with career moves. Seems like a decent squadra for Lennon to develop at without immediate pressure of some of the bigger Italian clubs.
-
As others have said I reckon weâll have some joy against teams who donât just sit in but that also means they are more likely to be those who take advantage of our higher risk approach. Heart says 5th with far more good results and ânearlyâ draws. Head says 8th with some real highs along the way but ultimately stifled by the SPL drudgery and frustrating losses.

Where in Italy are you calling from? đ

Stenny only had three subs last night -2 trialists and a goalie. They may have some more signings for Saturday but it must be a game for our strikers to get their accounts up and running.

Interesting how Wattâs performance has split opinion. I wonder what the his expected role is. I can see him more in a deeper role initiating the play with Slatts and Faddy expected to be more dynamic in their movement. Tonight it didnât quite click between them.
-
True, not writing him off by any means, only that I didnât think he had anywhere near a âsuperior playerâ type of game.
-
Fadinger had a bit of bite, some deft touches, and good movement into the box and finally got reward.
-
Surprised you mentioned Watt. I thought he had a couple of good touches but I thought largely ineffective and wasteful.
-
And at left back as well it is perfect weather for a meltdown or two certainly đ«

He remains a legitimate point of discussion for that very reason and he manages in the same division so we will come across him. Heâs had plenty of opportunity, and will likely have again, to recant on his reasons for leaving. For the sake of his new wife I hope he doesnât behave in his personal life as he did in his professional, as an apparent total lack of insight into personal limitations and willingness to acknowledge mistakes never bodes well for a strong relationship. On the other hand, as a Well fan, I hope he carries on his managerial career as he left us as that will guarantee a Killie side fighting relegation.
-
Almost guaranteed weâll get hammered by Killie with midfield dream team of Polwarth and Paton with a couple of stunners and taking turns to slip Moses in for a brace.
-
Glad to see Blaney head to Livi. Heâs not going to make them stronger. If we had recruited like they have so far I suspect this forum would be in depths of despair.
-
I think people are forgetting McGinnâs minimal appearances last season were mostly at centre back., Apart from Hearts game he was pretty woeful. Another year older and greater likelihood of breaking down again I donât see him as a regular starter in the type of game the new manager seems to want to play. I think he is definitely one Iâd be looking to offload/ loan to championship side and bring in fresh legs.

It could be a discussion with the sponsor though about size and placement. Agree with point that overall the financials will drive whether it is worth a sponsor free option but some replica strips being sold are iconic because of sponsor association with that season. Tbf I donât see G4Claims being the same as Sharp/Brother/Carlsberg/Jeep/Pirelli/Ian Skelly etc are in a few years but if we win the cup in 2026 who knows.

I too am in this minority. David made the point that we have a distinctive colour palette and that gives us the freedom to experiment more and still be Motherwell. If the Newcastles, Notts Countyâs, Grimsbys, St. Mirrens Juventus etc of the world were so happy with their âtraditionalâ B&W stripes they wouldnât be constantly changing their number, width, pattern, and colours of trim.
