  1. I know he doesn't seem to be floating many people's boats but I think Rose had a great game in a role which is rarely going to grab the headlines but is essential to allow the creative players time to do their stuff. Still I've gone for Kipre as he was immense.

Isn't it great though to actually have a dilemma on who to chose across most of the team.

  2. Saw a nice bit of skill from Don Thomas nutmegging Celtic defender but otherwise anonymous from part of game I watched today. Also not sure what all the admiration for McCulloch is all about. Never liked his attitude as a player for us and hope he drags Killie into championship before the split.

  3. Has to be Tait. Was one of few who actually performed reasonably in first half. Looked comfortable on left of midfield with great work ethic and moments of skill. And once again composed finish in front of goal.

  4. Who knows what the plan was in the first half. The constant shifting of positions might work in some computer simulation but it didn't help us with Tanner, Cadden, Fisher, Bigi and Moult all suffering in the first half due to formation. Defence and Rose kept us in it - just.

In 2nd Campbell was a solid "destroyer" - what Bigi was presumably meant to do in the middle. That plus positions for Cadden and Tait whiched suited them made us much more solid and left the more creative elements to work.

Really surprised MacIntyre didn't even try and combat us. He reminded me of McGhee - keeping to his formation and tactics when opposition was obviously on top. Still that's their problem. Ultimately great win and bit of luck for Bowman and composure from McLean and we would have had several more.

  5. McHugh and others played well but for me it was a choice between Tait and Tanner. You could see today what Robinson is trying to do with Tait. Right and left footed crosses, defensive cover, and an opportunitistic goal Plus he and Cadden didn't get in each other's way as they had at QP. Only eclipsed by Tanner who looks as if he will be a great signing. Good movement, linkup work, nice touches in attack and welcome work rate. Just needs confidence/decision making to shoot at times.

  6. Sponsors logo positioning is poor on both. Really wrecks the symmetry of the design.

Ideally take the bird shape and place at beginning of wording and centre vertically in claret hoop and grey hoop.

If that can't happens then place the wording centre vertical on both hoops and just accept that bird shape will "soar" above the lines.

  7. Just back from Sponsors night. Alona was a good venue with (I believe) quite a few more attending than was possible at Centenary. Louis was definitely the award star with a hattrick of wins - Sponsors player of season (voted for on night), Players player of season (we saw all the nominations on "VT") and overall Player of the year (didn't quite get how that one was judged). Lionel won goal of season - not sure if it was for the Killie chip or Ross County dribble and squeeze round the post.

Tam Cowan was in good form, some musical accompaniment, a speedy raffle draw (some odd prizes such as gutter cleaning!) plus both a dinner and a training day auctions raising around £1300 for youth development. Overall a good night obviously helped by result earlier.

Really grateful/lucky to have won our slot so many thanks to all, particularly Iain M.
