  1. Irony is we often get upset at the naivety and/or arrogance of English players and fans to the Scottish game and SPFL however it appears many North of the border do the same when talking about any team not to grace the EPL in the past 20 years .... just sayin
  2. I thought it was only The Rangers fans who boycott the BBC when they tell the truth? Probably a decision made to avoid the accusation of refereee bashing, but a failure in reporting. If the margin was narrower I suspect it would have been in as controversy is what all TV demands now.
  3. Don't agree with this, it was definitely worthy of inclusion so the decision to leave it out was a conscious decision. Also our package was released before Sportscene was broadcast. The problem with the second part is because of the dearth of coverage of this it will overlooked. No mention in Sutherland's BBC report and probably only covered in a few newspaper reports.
  4. Don't follow? Not talking about a blatant penalty and having it confirmed by both pundits means Micheal Stewart got an extra 30 seconds with his 40" iPad
  5. You may blame Sportscene rightly for that. The following Seedorf love in while not mentioning anyone else who had arguably better game (Hartley and Scott on here with Seedorf getting 1 vote from 69 at present speaks volumes). It was not a surprise seeing that on the telly as Sutherland was at FP covering the game and his post match report waxed lyrical about our Dutch winger. Let us also not overlook the "Gorrin is key to everything Motherwell do" from Michael Stewart last season when he'd played a grand total of 20 minutes the whole season before the game in question. However if we are going to give the BBC some heat then it is worth noting that the same incident was omitted from the clubs own highlight package. At to why I don't know, to save controversy? Because I'd rather see stuff like that than a pitchside, sweaty Liam Grimshaw within minutes of the final whistle.
  6. Radio Scotland interview with Robinson there, he confirmed that Donnelly was offered a new contract and hopes he will sign during the international break
  7. Kipre had 5 contract upgrades by Hallowe'en if my memory serves me correct
  8. Easy way to sort it, follow UEFA's example and not only give up the seats but the value of them are donated to charity, In the case of Rangers to St. Vincent de Paul or CAFOD and Celtic, Help for Heroes or PoppyScotland. Can you imagine the seethe with (3000 x £30) £90k a whip going to these places ...... delicious
  9. I quite like this fact. Rangers play 1 game in Europe and get a 3,000 seat ban and a public rebuke. The do it again against Warsaw and in advance of a ban they advise they won't take up a ticket allocation for their next away UEFA game. Rangers and Celtic have played under the SFA for over 130 years and SPFL for what 10 now? Let's total up the games without any sanction or actions by two organisations scared to act.
  10. Robinson advised in Hibs presser that we had a deal fall through but hopeful of someone on Monday. Ideally of sufficient calibre and previous clubs to keep the usual suspects from running him down before Provan presses a number onto a shirt for the photo call.
  11. Sadly your da went with the same life lesson with the jonnie instructions
  12. Long was among the less shit performers on Friday, for me he deserves a start before Cole, Seedorf or Hylton.
  13. Not anything less than I'd expect 3 games into the season, cup game playing against a side from a city with 500,000 inhabitants. As for Melvin's comments. Too soon to be that pessimistic we played a league winners with a team pretty much settled and adapted to the pace of our game. We played the team with the 4th best home record in the top flight last season. Our starting line up is pretty much 4 players who were not up to speed and having to build stamina and fitness quickly and that will come with time.
  14. I’ve always wondered why when playing domestically Scottish teams have a franettic style of play that we claim foreigners struggle to adapt to the pace. However when Scottish teams go abroad you’d think they’d continue that but they don’t
  15. God, many have short memories on here. After our early dealings and the first few players who came in, the chat on here was "more midfielders?" now it's "awww they're all pish". We've just played the champions who despite the general feeling in all Scottish football that appointing Lennon was a step back for them, they are still a juggernaut. In every position they have a better, faster, more well rounded player except for a few exceptions, Bain was equally at error as Gillespie today and Boli is doing well to hold down a starting place with them. If Long's softish penalty claim was upheld then it becomes a different match. Ironically only a few yards away from where McGregor conned a last minute spot kick 2 years ago to high 5's from his team mates. But I've always said I don't think a referee goes out to be biased but deep down in their subconscious they know they will run into 20x more OF fans per week than those of everyone else. Simple truth is Robinson still doesn't know his strongest starting 11. But in his defence professional footballers should be hitting the ground running and I do roll my eyes when I hear or read comments about it takes time to gel and all that nonsense. Celtic had 5 shots on target and 5 goals, that's clinical. So far we played the team with the 4th best record at home and champions on our own turf and have 1 point. Armed with those facts many wouldn't and hindsight maybe a point isn't so bad. What is bad is other than 30 minutes or so there's been 2.5 hours of malaise and misfiring. Many will not extend a chronic start till Christmas then a purple patch beyond like last season. Issues need addressed with planning, tactics both before a game and during, adaptation and players taking responsibility for their actions and shortcomings.
  16. Disabled fans now seemingly have as many places to take a dump as the whole East Stand. Looks swish right enough
  17. It also wasn't exactly clever. I've just watched it back slowed down and from different angles, it was misjudged and dangerous. If you look back to my original post you see I agree with you on the 2 game ban though.
  18. Correct I wasn't, the 92nd minute makes his challenge even more unbelievably stupid
  19. Wasn't it reported that the match delegate (in a suit in the stand) filed a report. In this case he/she probably thought the yellow was not fitting and conveyed that to the SFA. Upon looking at it we were fortunate to have Carroll finish the game, it was reckless and unnecessary. 11 v 10 on that pitch would have meant all hands to the pumps for us to walk away with a draw. We were fortunate to avoid it on the day and probably right to get it today. However as he wasn't elevated to a red card the 2 game ban seems harsh but still what we'd expect if he did walk on Saturday and he'd also have the extra disciplinary points. I'm all for it as long as its transparent, and consistent and fair. This sort of thing can only target player and I suspect manager activity. Therefore it will be interesting to see if any Rangers player is charged for their role after their winner. This next bit is distinct from the above and its important on here that distinction is made. Celtic's penchant for political statements, Rangers recently for pitch invasions and vandalism and both the Old Firm clinging onto sectarianism and to a lesser degree their diet versions in Edinburgh and Killie come under the remit of the SPFL. When are we eventually going to see some censure for their behaviour? Points deductions, fitting rather than paltry fines, closed doors games, etc? I'd advocate the referee ceasing play at the first utterance of the sash or any Republican glorifying and matching the players off the park. Every minute is a point deduction ......
  20. Talking of limits, any chance you can limit your output on here?
  21. Erm ... because he's on a one year deal Sparky, we've seen him play 180 minutes or so of competitive action for us and this is your solution. Stand aside Jose Mourinho we have a new master tactician in our midst.
  22. http://www.hesgoal.com/news/50744/Livingston_vs_Motherwell.html?fbclid=IwAR2VmN2Ml4ukjnd5R4x9AFxNcVp-bzsEOESew_KtpEIL_Am-S-4fZxKD2-s
  23. I must be doing something wrong because both those streams don't have a pook on them for me
