I will never like a keeper who insists on punching and palming shots when gathering it in is a better if slightly trickier option.
All those who bemoaned Hollis at the end of August and called for Gunnar's inclusion, any red faces?
-
Was it worth it?
In hindsight nope, bit of heat, quite a few sarcy comments and an hour of my life I'll never get back compiling everything. Lesson learned
-
Now there's around 50 votes, an no doubt being influenced by the age and memory of those who did so, here we have the worst XI to step onto the Fir Park pitch and also be paid to do so. There are no doubt much worse guys out there but this team would struggle to beat a bunch of schoolgirls (wouldn't you agree Sydney?). The midfield and defence were pretty much clear with the attack more skewed, Derek Townsley for example looked like a shoe in but was overhauled in the past day and now doesn't even make the team.
It goes without saying some players would be better placed within the formation but its purely an indication.

I'm not sure, perhaps someone could set up a poll?
Only fannies do shit like that
-
Just goes to show sarcasm doesn't work without a whistling smiley
-
Yeah and he won YPOTY playing in midfield in his first season. I think you are confusing worst ever with taking bad career advice
-
not literal, being overly pedantic or a smart arse, must come with that red text beside your name
3-3-4 formation + can't get more than 20 names per question + "Midfielders 3 from both" included in first question + dealing with adults = happy result
-
And my comment was directed at ScottW not you daver
-
I was limited to 20 options per question, if anyone has any ways round about it then please share, otherwise any complaints can be made to IP Board.
-
Interesting to see who was slagging him off weeyin, bet the same person has got a voodoo of Vigurs out and smearing shite on it due to his recent form.
-
I thought the instructions were pretty clear.
Sorry about Ruby, I don't think his inclusion in the defenders would have made much difference though.
-
ange ouefio was a right back who we signed from lower league belgian football who was utterly hopeless and hung around for years despite not getting near the team.
often seen walking about north lodge in a club tracky.
He was another doubler, one of the issues of going through over 100 posts and copy and pasting them into one document.
-
As before, they are in rough alphabetical order .... ish
Remember pick 4 in total from both sections not 4 in each.
-
I had to split the midfielders as you can only have 20 options per question so spread your three votes through both
-
So, here we are at the vote, I'll do the midfield and forwards shortly.
Thought based on the weighting it would be best to go for a 3-3-4, so please vote accordingly, limit your votes to the correct amount per section.
If a moderator could merge this with the original thread I'd be obliged, I couldn't introduce a poll.
Obviously a lot of votes will be influenced by when you started attending FP.

So all identified except for this lot, any help appreciated.

nobody inclined to go through the list I compiled and help me? no? bunch of wideo's .....
-
Well rather than have a go, give me a hand FFS
-
Anyone want to help with that list please?
-
What is it they say about twitter, at its best 5 minutes after something happens and at its worst for the 12 hours immediately after that. Me thinks this forum can be the same.
Let calm down and see what comes out over time rather than second guessing and conjecture.
Also I would be eternally indebted to the Bois if they had a stunt planned for Parkhead, I recall Rangers showed up to a match after part of the roof fell off and everyone had a yellow builders helmet on, genius.
-
So I've went through over 100 posts and compiled a list, some my be in the wrong position heading, some I need clarification on position, first names, etc. so any help appreciated. Just put a "D", "M" or a "F" beside the name. NB It took me ages

Not a great fan of worst 11's but given I started the opposing thread I suppose I should contribute. I will refrain from including any current players on the basis that they wont get any better by publicly slating them when they are still trying to do a job.
Its a difficult one as you would think really bad players shouldnt have played too many games, therefore the chances of having seen them play are lowered. Not sure I can list a full team so I will just put some names out there. Maybe G&F can pick the worst 11!
John Gardiner (never forgave him for the cup replay against Hearts)
Yassin Moutaoukil
Karl Ready
Simon Mensing
Andy Roddie
Gordon "Night" Mair (didnt get that nickname for nothing)
Omar Daley
Roy Essandoh
Esteban Casagolda
Calum Elliot
as a bit of mischief making, how about Phil O'Donnell for LB?
He only played one game there and it was his debut but Kenny McDowall roasted him that day. It was painful to watch and wee Tommy never played him there again. Must have been an invaluable lesson right enough given what happened thereafter.
When there's a big enough list, I'll group them into defenders, midfielders and strikers and we could run a poll, two votes per section will give the definitive shitelist
Does Gow get a second?
-
At least 3 in there who do your post no credit.
Law for one, you trying to tell me if you got a phonecall from a headhunter and offered a job with 4x your salary you'd take it? He signed a two year deal, it was up to the club to punt him after 12-18 months, however we didn't and them's the breaks.
Lee McCulloch did no wrong when he was here however I suspect his inclusion in your list is because he signed for Rangers after Wigan? If so, get a grip!
Bob McHugh is far from being included, he's struggled to get any consistency in the team but has popped up with important goals (Aberdeen when he robbed their left back 40 yards out couple of years back)

andy roddie was great away at mypa 47
Were you at the game ...............
Back to the team, maybe endemic of our support but this thread has already reached 26 posts while the best XI is still on 10, goes to show we like a good moan.
Based on the argument, lets go with Malpas as boss as he's proved he's considered an able No.2 as he keeps getting a gig and get Harri in as his Assistant.

Twardzik no doubt benefited joining a team where the two results prior to his arrival were awful, that in turn spurred on a few under-performers to start showing why we signed them, against sides mostly in the bottom half of the table and no doubt aided by the fact that Hollis haters quickly added Gunnar to their repertoire so anyone new was going to be welcomed.
He didn't have the physical presence in goal I'd become accustomed to (granted we were spoiled with Ruddy and Randy). I didn't see the penalty decision, was he at fault?
