  1. Granted the big man didn't have his best of games today but if truth be told he was on a hiding to nothing. I've seen enough of him to see he is a decent player and will score goals for us. If it wasn't for an inspired performance by Bryson he could have had a hat-trick against the Buddies.
  2. As much as I hate Craig Burley he actually made a good point there. We are far too gullible when we play Rangers. Far too open and quick to go forward. plays right into their hands every time.
  3. As much as I hate Lafferty that was some finish. Same ol same ol by the looks of it. Unlucky to be 2 down in my opinion but if you can't defend corners your always going to struggle. Seem to have this recurring problem of dealing with players who run directly at us.
  4. You're far too clever for me Cakes. I fold.
  5. It will take more than being top of the league after 4 games to make most armchair Well fans actually attend games. I understand what you're saying. I want to see as many fans at Fir Park as you but like the average pay at the gate fan I pick and choose my games. I personally rarely attend tv matches, choosing instead to spend the money I save on as many away games as I can. When we win tho, I'll definitely wish I was there!
  6. I'm no goin cos it's on the telly/interweb and costin me nowt. No shitting of drawers here.
  7. It's not the fans who need to believe we can beat rangers it's the players! I don't think we're as far off as some suggest though. Even in the recent pumpings we have always been in the games for long periods only to collapse after they get their first goal (after a dodgy decision more often than not). Scoring first is always the key against the OF. If we score first then we have a chance.

He's a Homer for sure. Didn't show any bottle and was simply reacting to the home fans cries for a foul, some of which were farcical. Just before Hutchy got booked he clattered one of their players. It was a great tackle but their fans were screaming blue murder. Surprise surprise he was booked for his very next tackle. Terrible ref.
  9. Mccall has to put Lasley back in IMO. As well as Forbes did yesterday Las has been quality for us this season. Judging by Mccalls lack of faith in the bench I doubt he will drop Humphrey unless he is injured and can't play. Will be interested to see how we set up against them. Hopefully we wont let anyone run right through the middle which we always seem to do against them.

It was a baw hair between Hutchy, Craggs and Forbes for me. Went for Hutchy in the end. Well legend in the making that boy!
  11. No it was spot on. Humphrey was utter gash and should have/would have been hauled off if we had anyone to replace him with. The fact we won and are top of the league doesn't change that! It's a great sign when you can get a result whilst not being at your best. In saying that we made all the chances and if anyone was gonna sneak it, it was always going to be us. I think we're going to see a lot of games like yesterdays this season.
  12. I don't think they'll be far off to be honest. Top 6 definately
  13. The guys are doing a great job of trying to create a decent atmosphere. Long may it continue! IMO folk seem to have fallen out of the habit of singing and it's something we will have to work hard at to reintroduce. What we really need is more fans in both the home and away stands. The lower the numbers that harder an atmosphere is to create. I've always been in favour of reintroducing alcohol at footy games. There's no denying a few pints would loosen up the vocal cords!
  14. I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, but that's not the point I was making. Lasley should have been taken off before he was sent off IMO. In a game we were in control of, a goal up, against ten men who hadn't offered much I thought we could have subbed him as he was knackered and on a yellow card - two things that don't go well together. McCall for whatever reason doesn't seem to like using his subs. The reason's for that are up for debate. I know we won, and as I said I'm delighted. I just think his red card could have been avoided.
  15. I knew that was comin. I'm just making what I think is an obvious observation. Mchugh almost cost us a goal when he gave the ball away at killie clearly because he was knackered and didn't want it when passed to him. Lasley experienced as he is is wreckless in the tackle at the best of times. If we can't cope without him for ten minutes in a game we're winning and in control of then we're in big trouble next week without him! Great win great start long may it continue.
  16. Bit too late. Lasley should have been off before he got sent off. the commentators said he was out on his feet. was the same with McHugh at Killie. Edit: YASSSS
  17. what is it with mccall not making subs!?

I'm not his biggest fan either but I think he did pretty well yesterday. I was actually pleasantly surprised. He won a few headers against their centre back he had no right to win, his shot in the first have was a belter and the Keeper did well to push it over. In the second half he would have scored if Law had done the right thing and squared it. Plus he made a fantastic run which was given offside. Looked borderline from where we were sitting. He had a better game than the golden boy Murphy that's for sure. McCall should have hooked him after 70/80 mins though he looked out on his feet.
  19. I hate Nacho Nova tae, but he would be decent for us I think.

Gordy, fair play for trying to start a conversation. It's certainly better than some of the drivel that's been on here lately.
  21. It seems strange there's not a voucher in the book detailing all the offers. This isn't the first time we've offered discounts with the ST and that's what they did this in the past. Hmm
  22. Looks too similar to the Xara Zoom effort to me. Not a fan I'm afraid.
  23. The first half was a tale of two shots. One went in one didn't. It was a none event and I thought both sets of attacking players simply cancelled one another out. I don't think it was lack of effort on our part but you have to remember this was the first Cup final for most of our players too. Celtic may well be shite in comparison to years gone by but they are a good team and there is no doubt they were the better team on the day. Maybe that's why the players didn't look as gutted at the end of the game, they could have no complaints.
