    Aberdeen (away)

Nice to see Aberdeen using some common sense. I'm sure a few folk who would never have gone might make the effort now. Credit where it's due.
  2. Once this snow gets compacted and starts to freeze we're fecked!
  3. If it's run by North Lanarkshire Council the place will be sitting empty half the time, fall into disrepair within a couple of years and shut in 5.
  4. I must be missing something. The treacherous conditions that are keepin us poor football fans holed up indoors don't seem to be affecting the thousands of folk tanking up and down the M8 as we speak. As I said earlier in the thread, the problem for most folk is getting out of their own streets. The main roads are fine, and if there had been a wee bit of common sense shown, the roads and pavements around the ground would have been fine too. People are far too soft these days.
  5. One gritter would have cleared the roads in 5 mins and a couple of those buggy things that do the pavements is all you need. we're no talking massive amounts of money or man power here. The main roads will take care of themselves after being cleared once due to traffic. The fact is people are still out and about doin their daily business, the world has not come to a standstill. As East Stand Al said all that is needed is a bit of forward planning.
  6. I don't. We have been told numerous times that all Scottish Council's have record levels of salt to clear roads and that they would not be caught out again like last year. That lasted long didn't it. I would like to think that NLC would have the sense to prioritise the roads and areas around a busy football stadium for obvious reasons.
  7. If the snow had been lying and compacted into ice like it was last year then yes I could maybe understand it. But its fresh now, should be easy to clear (its stopped snowing and the skys are clear). The real problem for folk today will be getting out of their own streets. It's probably the right decision to call it off. Just frustrating that in a county like ours we still grind to a halt at the least bit of bad weather!
  8. the bbc have reported that the pitch is playable but its the surrounding roads that are the problem, so at least their reporting is accurate for a change. Can't get on to the official website, it always seems to go down when there are more than 5 folk trying to access it! If the Newcastle game goes ahead though there should be questions asked of NLC.
  9. Surely the SFA would be duty bound to tell the other nations refs exactly why they were required? And if they didn't how on earth did they think they'd be able to keep them in the dark. You couldn't make this stuff up.
  10. Clubs and managers make noise about refs every week, it's part of the game and always will be. However, Lennon/Reid/Celtic have come out and actually questioned the refs integrity. They aren't just criticising their performances, they are calling them cheats. None of the other clubs in the SPL, to my knowledge, have made anything like those kinds of accusations.
  11. Just watched the Peat press conference on the BBC website. What a spineless fecker he is. This fight with the refs is not Scottish footballs - it's Celtics. Peat came out with some nonsense about not wanting to personalise things by naming individuals. Why not? We all know why this started and we all know it's one club that have brought us to this point. Peat should have just come out and said Celtic/Lennon/Reid get a fucking grip, stop moaning and get on with it.
  12. Brown doesn't seem to favour changing things quickly but when things are not working as they haven't been then he's got to give Sutton and Casagolda enough time on the pitch to have an impact. Get them on now
  13. Well done Saunders, not many Well players can say they've played for their country.
  14. When teams benefit from bad/dodgy decisions you never hear a peep from that teams manager or fans, it's only when things go against your own team that folk are suddenly up in arms. The old excuse "it evens out over the season" is a load of betty swallocks imo. What we need is honesty from both sides. If both Calderwood and Broon had come out and said the offside was a terrible decision then maybe the powers that be would be forced to take notice. But we all know that's never gonna happen. How can we expect the officials to improve when it's obvious we're quite happy to accept their shortcomings when it suits us?
  15. Apart from the goal that got chopped off, for all the good possession we've had we've not made many chances.
  16. http://www.firstrow.net/watch/36800/1/watc...herwell-fc.html u need to download vshare from the prompt not bad stream
  17. The only way you're gonna get a decent atmosphere at Fir Park again is if you get everyone half cut afore the game, then there might be a chance of some singing. More drink = more dunk people = more people singing = better atmosphere. The sooner they allow bevy back into the ground the better imo.
  18. I checked the BBC stats at 2 nil and it said we had 78% of the possession. The BBC just make shit up. And how is it a third 3 nil defeat in a row for St Johnstone, it was 4 nil, or did ye leave early Mr match reporter!
  19. I think you've got the wrong end of the stick.
  20. I think it's £25 for a replacement but i can't mind where I read that. All it says in the Season Ticket Book is that lost, stolen or damaged tickets must be reported to the Club ticket office and duplicate's will not be issued on a match day.
  21. Sorry I have to disagree, it does matter. To go from making them look like a very ordinary team in the first half to making ourselves like a wee diddy team in awe of the mighty Rangers makes me pig sick. Opportunities to win at Ibrox are few and far between and yesterday was most definitely one of them. We did all the hard work and like always let ourselves down badly. I'm not saying Rangers don't deserve credit for coming back at us but the ease with which they steam rollered us is incredibly frustrating. If we had held out for even ten minutes into the second half you can bet the crowd would have been right on their backs and you never know what could have happened. Even if they still ended up winning at least it would have felt like we made them work for it! I don't think the performance overall was a disgrace, far from it, but the way we seem to roll over when the big boys get up a bit of momentum against us is more than a tad worrying. Ach I'm just disappointed is all, I thought yesterday was gonna be a good day!
  22. that's me well and truly in the huff for the rest of the night.
  23. That is a fucking distgrace of a collapse. Fuck me!
