thats how i saw it too

Patience is not a word associated with the SPL.
Patience is not associated with football in general! What's the point of a 3 year plan if year 1 gets you the bullet!
-
played well first half, played shit second half.
-
and runs like he's in his late 60's!
-
the only reason I stayed to the end today was to boo every one of those c***s off the pitch. if anyone has a problem with that then they can go take a flying fuck to themselves. that 2nd half performance was shambolic and our form right now will see us in a relegation fight for sure. Bigger picture my arse. we have flattered to decieve all season and now we are being found out big style.

If you worked in a shop, and a customer brought something back because they had been overcharged (as an example), and they demanded a refund by saying something along the lines of "get it done...this is a fucking joke, can you not even scan a proper price?), if you dealt with them in any way other than accepting the blame and being apologetic, then putting the situation right, you'd be handed your jotters before you could even try to make a case for yourself. 'Flow has worked in a customer service area for years at quite a high level...and his response on this thread is exactly what would be expected.
i think its important to highlight the fact that the original poster has not (to my knowledge anyway) been f - ing and blinding at anyone. Venting you frustration on an internet forum and swearing at the staff in the office are very differeny things. I wouldn't accept the latter at all, no matter what the circumstance.

this isn't an official forum
The thing is when Club representatives regularlly post in an official capacity on this site it can be a bit hard to tell at times! Maybe the Club should have its own "official" log in so we know exactly when its an individuals view and when it's the official party line so to speak?

Just about as expected - even though he inherited a threat bare squad I still expected us to be mid table. there are far worse teams in the league than us.
Promotion of youngsters - if you're deemed goog enough you will play. It takes a lot of bottle to have faith in the younger players. Equally I hope he will be able to recognise that sometimes experience comes in handy!
Referee/SFA relations - this was a cause he really didn't have to champion. Unless it was some Ferguson like tactic to deflect from a poor performances or tactical decision then I don't understand it.
-
Ruddy - has at times won points single handedly. We reallly need to keep hold of him beyond Jan.
6th - we're in a bit of a slump in terms of form but we have just played the top 3 teams in the SPL after all (Mr fixture computer mabob WTF is it with playing the OF back to back... again!?)
1 - 2 seasons. He'll end up in the Championship for sure.
-
I'd quite happily drive the c**t back to Charlton myself!
-
And my point is unrealistic expectations of our players from many fans. I don't expectanything from our players, I take what I get but I'm prepared to trust the managers opinion of a player more than I am yours.
The point you seem to be making is that world class defenders earn themselves an undeserved reputation these days. If their crossing is shite, they cannae be world class can they? Maybe very good but I'd expect more from a supposed world class player.
Fair enough, but I don't think it's unrealistic to expect you right back to be able to defend. If he's good going forward and crossing a ball then that's a bonus imo. A right back, world class or not, first and foremost has to be able to defend. That's all I'm asking for!
That's not the point I was making. My fault I didn't put it across very well!
-
I would say his poor crossing ability ranks him far from world class. I can forgive Yass' poor crossing ability cos he's also far from world class otherwise he wouldn't be here.
Aye but that's my point, he's also shite at defending so what exactly does he bring to the team?
I would also argue that there are plenty world class full backs who have poor stats when it comes to productive crosses.
-
So it is acceptable for a world class wide defender (according to you) to not be able to cross for the life of himself, but it is shocking that a Motherwell wide defender can't...
MFC, is spot on by the way.
No that's not what I meant. See above. Cheers
-
Your answer is in the post you were replying to. If he were indeed world class would you not expect a better return in terms of his crossing. Yass has as good a record as that and folks are calling him rubbige
Apologies if my original post was slightly misleading. What I meant is that you can forgive Wayne Bridge's poor crossing ability bacause he is so good at his defensive duties. You cant say the same about Yass.
I for one would rather have a solid right back who hardly ventured forward than someone constantly roaming all over the park costing us goals every week.
-
What you don't think Wayne Bridge is world class?
-
I think you can forgive that given he is a world class defender!
-
I think Jim O'Briens good form at the start of the season was the main reason for our early success. IMO he was by far our most dangerous player in many a match and contributed directly to many of our goals. Everything good usually went through him.
I think his form, like many in the team,h as dipped badly but who knows he may have returned to his best given the opportunity. Looks like that's no gonna happen.
-
I think it was a bit of a strange thing to come out with tbh. Even though he prob didn't mean it it sounded like he was conceding defeat before a ball was even kicked. I don't care if it's Celtic or Man U we're playing as a Well fan that's not what I want to hear.
-
As has been said we played well for 20-25 minutes of the first half today and that was us.
We gave Celtic far too much respect today, failing to close down and challenge for the 90 minutes. The number of times McGeady was on the ball and nobody would give him a good kick was unbelievable, if they hit him early on i doubt he would of been as effective as he was.
The first two goals by them were easily preventable, firstly Samaras' when Hateley, Reynolds and Hammell all should of at least put a challenge in and their second goal where we had numerous chances to clear it before they scored. All 3 goals were well taken by them and they thoroughly deserved their win with the one goal margin flattering us. Thank fuck for John Ruddy!
Good to see Pollock and Meechan getting their debuts today but when you are playing that quality of opposition it may be worth sticking with Coke and Sutton.
absolutely spot on mate.

I'm gonna say this for the last time, he's pish!

just saw the second and third tic goals online and they are both quality strikes. we scored the only two chances we had so I think it was a fair result. Once again we didn't turn up for the 2nd half. thats starting to piss me right off.
Oh well we'll just have to beat the other ugly sister next week!

The last question from that interview was a tad worrying. He's basically admitted that he's not enjoying being Motherwell Manager at the moment. Id say if a decent job offer were to come from down south any time soon he'd be off!
