Campbell all day long.

I wouldn’t be against a 3-4-3 this season.
Stop being negative about our current formations!

I’m guessing they’ve probably met a release clause figure so we need to accept. Likely put into the lads contract when it was extended last season. Seems a bit early in the window to accept otherwise considering the amount of interest. Fingers crossed it was a high figure that other clubs meet and he chooses to goes elsewhere.

This season’s points tally of 51 is our highest since 2013/14 when we finished 2nd under McCall.

Went for Frear for his hat trick. Thought Rose was excellent as well.

If the walls are going on safety grounds then the H+S guys must see one side of the ground as safer than the other! I would have thought the walls prevent players going crashing onto the concrete steps (never a good combination with studded boots).
Maybe they’ll just permanently replace it and the East Stand wall with 100 stewards holding an orange plastic fence...- 1

We are also due money off the back of Celtic qualifying for the Champions League. About £200k if I remember correctly? Not sure if we’ve had that yet.
-
At Dundee United (where he had his best form) he was one of their star players and was looking for a big money move. At Celtic he was neither of those things, probably got scunnered at lack of game time and was just happy to pick up a good wage.
I reckon if he were to move to us he’d be enjoying his football again and looking for another big move. That’s probably what Robinson would tell him and I’m sure he’d help him to do that.- 1

Honestly I’d love it if there are a few tims near us on Saturday. They’d not enjoy themselves or even last the full 90...

Mchugh had a great game against Thistle. Lost the ball once due to a dodgy pass as far as I can remember.
I agree. He won an obscene number of headers in the middle of the park (as he does every week). Our defence has twice as much defending to do when he isn’t in the team.- 2

Could have been one of a number of players but went for Campbell in the end. Thought he was looking really tired and a yard off it for a spell after their equaliser but he dug deep and got back to his usual self and helped drive us forward on a number of occasions. A captain in the making, whether for us or at a higher level.

POTY - Carson
YPOTY - Kipre
ETA: Either (or both) of those awards could quite easily go to Campbell.

Definitely staying with Macron next season as the question was asked in the club shop this morning.
Their stuff has been excellent so glad about that.

I am more cautious because Dundee did carve out a number of chances. Unlike us however, they didn't have strikers who could finish.
Or a competent goalkeeper rather...

Tell you what. We really miss Rose when he isnt in the team (Saturday and tonight show that). The man covers a ridiculous amount of ground and is available for every pass going. Some engine he has to get into the box as often in those final 5-10 mins. If that header had gone in he would be my Man of the Match instead of Campbell.
Surely his biggest critics must see why Robinson picks him after tonights performance?

He isnt the ideal player for our plan A. Our midfield is really just bypassed and is there to win the ball back when it doesnt stick with our strikers. That isnt his game.I really want to see Bigi start (have him in my suggested team over in the other thread). But I think half the pro lemon is that any time he has started he has basically failed to impress for the 90.
He's been great coming on though.
He has done well when he has came on because A) we have been winning and are wanting to hold onto the ball so are knocking it about with him being key, or B) we have been looking for a goal and our plan A of hoofing it forward hasnt worked so were trying to play through a defence rather than over.
Id like him to start, but only if we are going to use him properly.

We need to have Bigirimana in the team. He is our only midfield player capable of doing something other than tackling. Hopefully we will then use our midfield for something other than tackling!

This one is in the bag. I always take my Thistle mate to these games and hes yet to see them win at Fir Park. So put your feet up and relax the three points are ours. 3-0 Motherwell.
FFS. You can think it but you dont need to say (or write) it.

Saw on Twitter there that Marvin Johnson is to be loaned back to Oxford as he isnt part of their plans any more...

Oxford and ourselves definitely squeezed as much money out of him as possible.

Slowly but surely killing Caddens transfer value playing him as a wing back
If Cadden were to move to a Championship club I think hed more than likely end up playing as a wing back (or even full back). Hes big, strong and can run up and down that wing all day long. Hes nowhere near good enough technically at the moment to be an effective winger in that league. He needs to improve his final ball, goal-scoring and ability to beat a full back with something other than just knocking it by them and running if hes to make it in that position.
He may well improve all those things either here or elsewhere (it certainly sounds as if hes a conscientious and hardworking trainer), but wing back may be the best option. These 352 formations are all the rage just now!

I help run a boys club, and from time-to-time, we'll ask a boy to 'man mark' an opposition player...its generally the less talented boys that carry this role out
Yet talented enough to be chosen in the starting eleven to do the job
-
Slipping down the league's maybe he is finding his level.
Still got a couple more levels to go.

Forget about teaching the youngsters how to play. We could do with him teaching most of our first team how to control, pass and cross a ball properly!

The club tweeted last Thursday that we had sold over 80% of our allocation (>10,800 out of 13,500). We must have shifted a good few more than that in the last week. I dont think well sell out but I think well be close. If I recall we were given 13,500 with a promise of up to 15,000 should we sell our initial allocation ?
So if we have sold just over 10,000 does that mean there will be up to 3000 empty seats. Bit of a brass neck if that is the situation !
I get the prices are steep, I get it is ONLY the league cup and I get it is Celtic unbeaten in 60+ domestic games we are playing. But it is a final and in my 50 years I will (after Sunday) have only been to 4 finals if I recall. One in every 12 or so years!
