  1. I'm not sure if this would be feasible or even allowed, but could the club ask fans if they would like to make a £1 donation to the 'Well Society when they are making a purchase in the ticket office and club shop?

I know Dominos pizza ask if you'd like to round up your order price to the nearest pound on the app when making a purchase with the extra going to some charity. The hotel I was staying in on my recent holiday asked if we'd like to make a donation to a charity when we were checking out. If they do it why shouldn't we?

There must be thousands of transactions each year in the office and club shop (10,000+ maybe?) and those would be great opportunities to ask for a donation. It's definitely harder to say no to someone when you are just over the counter and have to look them in the eye.

Even putting those charity collection thingys (like the ones you get in shops) on the counters for folk to put their change in would generate a bit of extra cash.

  2. Heneghan is a defender with serious limitations.

Every player that has ever or will ever play for us will have serious limitations (with the exception of Cedric of course). Doesn't mean he's not important to us and will be easily replaced.

  3. Campbell and Bowman also made a massive difference, but I feel that Fisher can feel a little bit aggrieved at being hooked considering he had been fired out on the left touchline for the 1st 45mins. Regardless, Campbells tenacity and work-rate were fantastic, while Bowman is just a big honest guy, who will burst his arse for the cause.

By the end of the 90mins it really could and should have been more than 2-0.

Agree on Fisher. He was actually bursting a gut to chase things down the same way Bowman did when he came on, it just happened to be out wide. I think he could be a player when he actually gets played up top.

Felt sorry for Bowman that MacLean's pass to him when he was through was over hit. Noticed on the highlights he showed his frustration while chasing it down. If he'd got the ball and stuck it away it could have done his confidence the world of good.

  4. or other clubs at the time never had the same info rangers did, given the fact that was once on there books. Like I said it all just rumours but the silence is deafening out of fir park at the moment, apart from flow saying he was ill. So all we have to go by is rumours. Although if there was any truth wouldn't the sfa done something at the time when he did play.

The silence is only deafening because people on here are speculating that there is something for the club to tell us.

I doubt we'd arrange a press conference to tell the press that Bigi ate a dodgy curry on Saturday night and had the skitters...

I saw Flow on twitter saying that he'll be back on Wednesday (if selected) so we can probably put this to bed, ta.

  5. Had a look on google yesterday when he was mentioned and noticed that in his trial games with both Bradford and Chesterfield he was playing left back. In the blurb about him signing the first position Robinson mentions him playing is left back, so given it seems he's not 6ft+ I wonder if he's been brought in primarily as a left back.

Obviously you get the occasional centre half who's 5ft 10 or thereabouts but given I don't imagine we've gone out and signed the new Cannavaro it could be this is our left back cover.

I believe Dunne mentioned in his first interview that he prefers centre back to left back so works out I suppose.

  6. Agree. McHugh has to start in midfield.

If McManus is fit enough he goes in for me. As many people say...he only raises his game against Rangers...

    Carson

    Kipre McManus Dunne

    Tait Cadden McHugh Bigi Frear

    Tanner

    Moult

This looks like the team for me. Only possible change would maybe be Heneghan for McManus. Just whoever is fittest I suppose.

The good thing about that team is we can easily switch it to a 442 if need be.

  7.

I would much rather we didn't give anyone a trial and just signed guys out of nowhere. I mean it worked so well last season with Belic & Jules.

Yeah, why are we letting guys play and train to prove themselves for free when we can pay them 6-12 months wages to do it.

    BURROWS!!!!

  8. I'd hazard a guess that Charles Dunne is the player we've all but signed. He has Championship and League One experience as per Robinson's quote. He also seemed to have injury problems last season which would explain us wanting to put him through pre-season before finalising.

If he stays fit I would be happy enough with that.

  9.

You were the one who brought it up...where is your proof, or have we just to bow down to your expertise as an globetrotting, former taxi-driver, marketing guru??

    But hey, I'll entertain you...

The company I work for currently holds copyright on over 200 separate products, which in my role as Marketing & CRM Manager I have to manage. Additionally we also have over 1500 images of the products which we own artistic copyright on automatically as well as virtual renders, videos and 360º images. Not to mention the promotional materials, instructions, brochures, etc.

While the product design infringement is less frequent an issue, the use of the images is not. Our competitors will regularly use them and part of my job is to monitor there use online. In the case of where unauthorised use is identified, I serve a copyright notice to the parties involved. Most of the time, that serves as a deterrent and the images are removed. When this is unsuccessful I then make a claim under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act to the hosting site who will always act and remove the images. If we get to this point, or indeed if it is a repeat offender, I will pass their details to our legal team who will pursue damages - something that they have succeeded on in numerous occasions, with one company being fined £45,000 earlier this year.

On top of that, I studied copyright quite intensively at University as part of my course and it featured heavily when undertaking my CIM accreditation. As someone who maintains a freelance portfolio, it is something I have advised on a great deal as well.

As you have been told, the club did not create the viking chant and first step of copyright protection is proving without a shadow of a doubt that you created it followed by a process that allows counter claims to be made if applicable. Once granted, to prove copyright you have to have someone accountable for the breach. As mentioned, a crowd of fans chanting/singing a song does not make the club they support liable for the action of individuals, and unless they can identify the individual at fault (ie not a crowd, the person who started the chant) action is simply impossible.

This utter minefield is the reason clubs much larger than us don't seek copyright on songs. It's a non-starter.

Furthermore, for the club to even investigate this avenue would costs a great deal of money in legal fees which would be wasted. Much better spent on e-mail marketing, no?! Or at least the playing budget.

To conclude, your grasp of copyright laws is clearly, in my honest opinion from a wealth of experience, incorrect. Once again, you have opened your mouth without any knowledge to back it up, and that is why you are constantly called out on it. However, I would be most delighted to hear how you deal with plagiarism/copyright a few times per year?!

Going forward, I'd be more than happy for you to pass any of your "marketing guru" ideas pass me for some fact checking in a PM before you post for to save yourself the embarrassment of looking like an idiot (again).

I look forward to CMWellfan telling you how you are rubbish at your job and how your company should have gotten £1million from the fine earlier this year.

  10. Up until last year when the football league I help run started a feed, I always thought Twitter was that bit on my mrs between her Twat n her Shitter!

I can handle Facebook, but really why do we need more social media for cunts to bury their heads in their phones instead of actually talking. And now we have club officials getting it tight because they dare to interact with fans on it. Ban Twitter! And Instagram too, no cunt needs to see incessant selfies of some ropey bird , that obligatory beer shot at the airport or wtf youve had for your tea that day. What a fuckin world we live in

Let's ban internet football forums while we're at it.

    Deary me.
