  1. Faddy v law is a no contest. Faddy was and will always be a better player than law. However, taking off claret and amber tinted glasses and removing sentiment for a second, quite frankly Faddy was brutal last season (almost as much a disappointment as Brian mcclairs return). The fact we are even mourning the loss of Faddy proves only 2 things - the team has regressed to a level no one could have predicted and law is incredibly shite!
  2. I think I will give it a miss unless I hear lasley and Sutton aren't playing
  3. Andy smith shouldn't be anywhere near fir park at present never mind in future though he is pals with leitch. Allegedly was asked to leave his former employer (not a football club btw) before he was sacked.
  4. With Erwins injury history, in particular to ACL damage, the likelihood is he won't be risked on the plastic pitch rather than being injured
  5. Dare i say it but i disagree with earlier poster thought Kerr (apart from a bit of hesitation that nearly let to an og) did fairly well - I agree Reid was rotten. Kerr at least looks capable when played in his normal position. Not any standout performances but Erwin, law in spells and Kerr were the best for me.
  6. Erwin's link up play was very good when he came on - there's no debate technically he's superior to Sutton. But time will tell whether he can be as good a goalscorer. Hope he stays fit and injury free - he's had a couple of bad setbacks in recent years
  7. Lasley was appalling but was still expecting some moron to vote him man of the match. Can't be bothered reading back through the post but I'm sure someone said he played well tonight
  8. If stevie hammell plays further out nearer the touchline its a simple ball inside him. So I don't think its is simple as playing wider. What' he's guilty of however is not busting a gut to stop the ball coming in
  9. Lasley was the worst player on the park - Ramsden and rest of back 4 not much better. Carswell excellent
  10. Postiejim still no told us who? The board deserves to be told!
  11. Lee Erwin will be an asset in coming years, as will Morgyn Neill. Both will benefit from sound advice from their fathers who have been fortunate to be professional footballers themselves
  12. Jim O'Brien due to sign for the sheep. A last minute gazump?
  13. I agree with El grew and tweed re Hutchinson. I'll be amazed if he's playing regularly at a league higher than spfl or league one level next season. On his game he's good enough for Motherwell but no more than that. Too error prone these days. He's regressed considerably since craigan retired. I haven't been to all of the games this season but on the evidence on what I've seen McManus has had a far better season and he's had his ropey moments! I'm sorry I just don't see what the fuss is about with Faddy. I have only seen him having one good game all season (thistle away), he's not a team player and it's becoming embarrassing with his consistent moaning to referees - it's like watching willie miller all over again. I have been fairly critical of lasley in the past, but there's no doubt he's been our best player this season by a country mile.
  14. We get the picture - you don't like tom hately cause his burd said something to you that you didn't appreciate- can we now discuss issues to do with Motherwell fc instead of this pish
  15. Anyone who wasn't entertained today shouldn't bother. Fantastic attacking performance again today.. Could have been 3 up in 5 minutes and bizarrely could still have been level at half time. Thought McManus volley was in at the time, almost certain it was in. Vigurs cross for suttons goal was top notch. Tam scobbie could retire after the second half raping from Lionel. Could easily have scored 8 today and st Johnstone couldn't complain. Perhaps that's revenge for the scudding we received up there earlier in season. As mentioned on another thread for me ainsworth just edged Vigurs for mom
  16. Ainsworth just shades it from Vigurs for me
  17. Faddy edged it for me today
  18. What an excellent performance after a dodgy first 10 minutes. No failures in the team today. Carswell struggled to cope with higgy and doolan to start with but otherwise was terrific. Iv been critical of Faddy too but when he plays like he did today then he's a joy to watch - if only he could do it more often. I thought Vigurs played well apart from one dodgy pass in first half that nearly sent thistle through and people are quick to jump on his back whereas the same people don't criticise carswell for doing same thing in 2nd half. It's also good to see us winning games while tinkering with team selections and formations that way we are less predictable in future. A great 3 points - onwards and upwards. The goalies brilliant save at 1 0 massively helped us too
  19. The defence is brutal. Worryingly the goalies and midfield are considerably worse.
  20. Let's not kid ourself on either lasley was fucking shite like the rest of them
  21. Yorkshire bound if rumours are to be believed
  22. I'm obviously not in the know since I'm not involved in the fleece wearing mile oot committee or any other cok sucking get together therefore I'm normally last to hear of news associated with Motherwell fc so I will trust your knowledge in this instance. As a result, I would be reluctant to bet £50, rather I suggest we both donate £25 to well society? Ihave no reason to doubt my source who is normally spot on and who,on a side note, also advised me that a senior member of staff is leaving which will be revealed in next couple of days if not done so already.
