  1. Yeah seems a bit low to me but only reporting what i saw...hmm reported on @VivaMotherwell - no idea how reliable that twitter account is tbh
  2. Saw a tweet from someone it was around the £200k mark
  3. Absolutely. However if they have been working on it for weeks I would be fuming if I was Burrows.
  4. What gets me is Burrows tweet about how the clubs have been working for weeks to sort out a deal. Did anyone consult with David prior to the publication of the fee agreed comment from the club. Not blaming Burrows before people jump on me just curious
  5. I Can't, nothing against the idea but I think priorities lie elsewhere
  6. Would you..? He is giving everyone time to calm down.
  7. never mind, it was a sideways dig at the way the club have done this piece of business which it basically is a business deal. In business these decisions always seem to benefit the shareholders more than the fans. I know we are a fan owned club but should have made my point more obvious. We just seem to be in a mad rush to get the debt out the way as quickly as possible no matter how we do it. We could have taken more time to have such a great player in our team.
  8. shareholders will be rubbing their hands whilst the fans will be shaking their heads
  9. I usually agree but I don't want us selling to them, don't care if we are a business and need to sell...not to them, that hurts more than selling the player. I don't care about the benefits I would rather take a million less and sell him to anyone else but them
  10. This is my feeling, Bought my first season ticket in years few weeks ago. I knew he would be sold, but to our rivals..!! I would rather we got bugger all than sell to that mob. God ANYONE but them
  11. https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2019/06/12/fee-agreed-with-celtic-for-david-turnbull/
  12. I wouldn't do anything that would help another Scottish team bring through their youngsters.
  13. Probably Fane, he hasn't been unveiled yet
  14. Ease him off the ball lol...It was a sweet shoulder barge.
  15. I love the idea of bringing on the kids but Jamie Semple look terrified any time he got near the ball. Not his fault still young but maybe too many changes near the end for me.
  16. Just renewed my season ticket after about 10 years. Couldn't go due to work however, fuck it. I love my club.
  17. an actual left back..oh wait he can play central midfield as well...Welcome to the club. Nice free kick goal on Youtube when he was at St. Pats
  18. I am sure with the assistance of an incompetent SFA board (they picked Alex McLeish after all) that we will get the minimum amount of compensation as possible. Even then they will want installments or time to pay
  19. and in that comment he may have been correct, but again the club were looking to develop him for another year or so. I would imagine he would have been offered a reasonable contract at the end of the year. However, and again I say not one person predicted he would have made such an impact. NO ONE....so its NOT poor judgement or negligent...ridiculous comment
  20. Give it a rest...We know your the only one who noticed and all the professional coaches failed at 2 clubs to spot how good he is. He was decent at Alloa and was doing them a good turn but, no one not even you, had any clue that he would have made such an impact as he did. If they did do you think for a second the club would not have tied him down with a longer contract?? So it wasnt poor judgement at all it was a measured judgement on his performance up until that time. If you look at his performance 23 games for alloa and 3 goals. Before that with Airdrie 32 appearances and 3 goals. So that's 55 appearances and 6 goals about the same he scored in half a season when he got a start in January. If he wasnt scoring mega goals in the championship and league 1 then how can you say it was poor judgement. Ridiculous comment.
  21. So fully qualified coaches who see him every day training and playing couldn't predict the kind of impact he made, even the coaches at Alloa were surprised. However "anyone with knowledge could CLEARLY see he had huge quality". Aye right, Mystic Meg. Love these nuggets with clairvoyance who never predicted it on these forums but are happy to come on after the event and pretend it was obvious. There is not one person on this planet including the player himself would have predicted he could have made the impact he did after January.
  22. I must have been watching a different game. Fairly comfortable?, extremely nervous, couldn't control simple balls, terrible tackling. No control over any area of the park. That's what I saw. Not bothered really as it is exactly what I was expecting from Motherwell.
