You do realise that it's not a case of Hull City sending us the cash via PayPal family & friends, right? We'll likely get that money at some point over the next few months, or even in installments.

Tbf I reckon we'll be paying Watt in installments too rather than a lump sum.

I was super excited about this now I’ve just got the fear. Gave tonight a miss, didn’t even follow on  phone. But Sat v Livi is hard to shake just how bad we really were I’m talking Malpas stuff so bad

We weren't terrible tonight tbh. Made a decent fist of it for the first hour or so with no final ball. Legs went and Celtic scored two screamers.

Celtic seem to like buying decent players with no real plan on how to use them. The most recent example is Lewis Morgan who played the vast majority of his football on loan before being punted to the MLS.

Think it's a calculated risk built into their business plan. They can sign 5 Eboue Kouassis every window if one of them turns into an Ajer or Christie.

The most noticeable thing about our team this season (and to a certain extent last season) is that when we are bad, every single player is bad - nobody seems capable of pulling us out of the nosedive during the 90 minutes. Livi being the most recent example, but Accies and the Hearts cup tie are other examples.

We have bounced back each time, so hopefully that will continue.

Aye it's definitely noticeable that all our elder statesmen are in goals or the back four and everyone else middle to front is currently at the highest level they've ever played at. Not a slight on any individuals as it's a strategy that's working so far for the most part but games like that we could have done with a Pearson or Lasley in midfield.

Really? The first 20 minutes excepted, I thought that was the worst performance from a Well team for several years. If so thats scary.

I wasn't at the Accies game but today was by far the worst I've seen us play this season. Middle to front was worse than the worst of the McGhee/hoofball Robinson eras and the defence were spared mainly by Gillespie.

Its interesting to sit back and watch the usual suspects who are "underperforming" ( Kilmarnock, St Mirren, Ross County, St Johnstone, Hibs, Hearts  etc) panicking in the transfer window and desperately signing bodies. Reminscent of the Ian Baraclough era.

Other then Dundee in the Ciftci season, it feels like a while since we last had a 3pm cup away day. Think we’ll take well in excess of 2,000 if we get the allocation.

Fully supportive of the year we got to cup finals being referred to exclusively as the "Ciftci season" from now on tbh.

  8. I reckon United won't actually make much money off of Shankland. Given he more or less had them over a barrel in those negotiations I'd be surprised if he didn't have a relatively inexpensive release clause. Just a hunch.

Seedorf is a big part of our first team squad, I doubt he's going anywhere

I actually think it'd be a great idea to loan out one of the two first team options we have in that position, especially when the guy currently starting ahead of him looks shattered after an hour most weeks.

Seedorf will always have that screamer against hearts.

He was electric for a few games, but he looks to have lost confidence and been found out by our opposition. He would probably get the benefit of the doubt more if he was from wishaw, but either way he's not much of an option right now.

This is pretty much where I'm at. He's been pivotal in winning us a few games and mince in the rest, which in a roundabout way is the sort of overall contribution I expect from 21 year old wingers with barely any first team experience that we take punts on.

I fell for that hook, line and sinker.

    What a dissy!

 sorry. To be fair I thought of the joke at some point in 2017 and have been waiting for us to be credibly linked to Leigh Griffiths for over 2 years now, I'd be raging if I didn't get at least one bite.

The BBC did a team of the decade. The one genuine contender for that team from a Motherwell perspective was Randolph. Fraser Foster got the vote and it would be hard to argue with that but there can be few better keepers in  Scotland over this last decade.

Interestingly he replaced John Ruddy who arguably was as good if not better in his time at Motherwell. I will never forget his triple save at Tannadice which was probably the best save(s),  I have seen live at a game.

Considering our first and second choice keepers at the moment, we have been fairly blessed over the last decade  in this area.

We did also spend a few years with Hollis, Twardzik, Nielsen and Samson. We've had a weirdly mixed bag, other than Ripley who was pretty middle of the road it's been all sugar or shite.

Before my time but possibly another Ross Mc type risk ?

The only Ross Mc I will acknowledge is McIver.

Edit- turns out that joke doesn't work unless you're illiterate like me.
