The four suggested candidates fill me with no confidence or enthusiasm for a variety of reasons revolving around how tough a job this is shaping up to be with the current squad. I’m far from a huge fan of John Hughes but if he were still available I’d probably take him over the four mentioned - that says it all.

Genuine question, why would you prefer Hughes over Wright? They've achieved similar things but Wright's got a much more consistent track record imo.

A bit surprised to see St Mirren have signed Eamon Brophy from Kilmarnock on a pre contact.

30 odd goals in 100 appearances for Killie. Nearly a goal in every 3 games (don’t think we’ve got anyone near these figures ?)

I know he played for Accies, but think he could have done a turn for us.

Surely he’s the sort of player we should be looking at as opposed to some of the dross we’ve been subjected to recently ?

Not that I don't like Brophy but I don't think it really makes sense for either party to be signing players for next season while we don't have a manager.

The mods deleting Jumbo's thread is tragic. There was some hilarious stuff in there, Comical Ali has nothing on David and Yorkyred in the denial stakes! Congratulations Jumbo some of us will always remember how you made Robinson resign.

I didn't want Robinson out just yet but changing the thread title/deleting it all together is proper snide behaviour.

Why has Maguire not been given a run in the middle of a back 3.  I suspect he will be another promising player ruined through not been given an opportunity by Robinson

At least he can count on SFWA Young Player of the Year David Turnbull, Scotland international Chris Cadden, English Premiership target James Scott, financially set for life Jake Hastie and Motherwell's best player Allan Campbell for support.

Who scored our first two penalties? I had to miss the last 15 mins and extra time cause of a work call. Got back onto video stream just in time to see O’Donnell score and Carson make his 3rd save.

O'Hara and Watt, both straight down the middle, pretty unstoppable.
