The Best worst Motherwell Manager ever

Best list , Tommy McLean for obvious reasons. Terry Butcher for the shambles he inherited and had us top 6 and a cup final. Stuart McCall for the league finishes 3rd, 2nd, 2nd . The cup form was very poor though and we should have won something in this era . Robbo for the 2 cup finals and 3rd place finish. Craig Brown who had an excellent year in charge before he left I also liked Michael Wimmer and would liked to have seen how he done as time went on. Also Baraclough for those 2 playoff games alone Worst for me definitely Malpas . That whole season was a disaster from start to finish. Harri Kampman's spell was also poor to watch -
We have had some truly great players down the years , depends the era If it is goalies Ruddy , Randolph , Maxwell , Goram etc all great keepers but won't bore with too much Legends like Faddy , Gary Mac , Brian McClair , Stevie Kirk , wee Dougie Arnott , Tommy Coyne , Pettigrew , The Coop , Uncle Phil the list goes on and on and on. Plenty I have missed out Martyn Corrigan is a very good shout also , never seen the guy come off the pitch once and thought he never gave 💯 to the team
-
Best of luck 🤞 Lennon Miller Great move for him , he will be welcomed back to Fir Park anytime in the future , been a pleasure to watch this guy It's the only way forward for a club like the Well , bringing on the home grown players and selling them on
-
Gary was a great player . I am too young to remember him at Fir Park. But remember him being an icon at Leeds United , and at Anfield Gary Mac is considered an absolute legend who won a cup treble
-
Wasn't at the game , but happy enough with a 0-0 at a ground that is always tough for us 6 competitive games in league and cup unbeaten for Jens , not too bad at all
-
Don't hold a grudge against either O'Neill or Boyd , both 91 cup legends I have interacted with Colin O'Neill on Facebook in the past , and although he is clearly a big Rangers and Orange man he does love the Well , only time I remember him criticising was about today's St Mirren manager and he also slagged Keith Lasley as pretty much being useless at the time Tom Boyd has nothing good to say about Well though , absolutely fine by me that he is a big Celtic man , not a problem but his career it seems started in 1992 when he went to Parkhead . Plus the fact I spoke to him in Bothwell one day and he blanked me 🤣
-
I watched that game on YouTube recently funnily enough . Fir Park at the Cooper end looked jam packed Met him once or twice and spoke to him. Very pleasant guy One other sketch that stands out was Scotch and Wry , the one where slagging his jacket . Then he asked for the autograph. Do u have a pen and paper ? 🤣
-
Archie McPherson ooffff , that's a good looking ball up it goes down , along the ground in the air somewhere Isn't it amazing how Stuart McCall looks quite small , but when he's got the ball he looks quite tall Only an Excuse 🤣🤣🤣 but they weren't far off
-
Yes it was Dougie Noticed it at the time , and thought it unusual and must be a reason
-
🤣🤣 Just shows that we are not that bad Rangers have played us 3 times in a row under 3 different Well managers and haven't beaten us . But they win in Europe
-
Not definitely saying we are top 6 , but definitely think there is a very good chance of this More performances like we had on Saturday will have us higher up the league. It's all ifs buts and maybes so early on
-
I sit in the Hunter and never heard anything directed towards SOD , not to say it didn't happen though I personally think he is a good man to have on our books , and has been a great servant Another positive last night as mentioned already was the 10k plus crowd . It was a great atmosphere
-
Brilliant to hear Russell Martin after the game claiming they were lucky to get the draw 👏 Didn't think I would ever hear any manager of the 2 Glasgow mobs say that . If only we had scored that chance late on
-
Delighted we got the late goal after missing so many chances. Totally deserved it and the draw was the least we deserved
-
He did acknowledge the fact that we are not the favourites, but I didn't get the impression he was being negative at all
-
Another Rangers fan I work with today suggested Rangers might have the advantage , because Motherwell haven't been playing competitive games . Goes back to the point I made last week how your average old firm fan completely misses the premier sports cup groups I didn't correct him as he is always complimentary to Motherwell however , and he is anticipating a very close game
-
Another excellent interview from Jens
-
Yep of course Motherwell fans would have done , and they did in 2002 of course in our time of trouble I was meaning we did not have the same level of hatred towards everyone else at the time , when it was clear they did
-
The ones who still turned up and loyal to the club done it out of defiance in my opinion. Sell outs in the bottom league. Not everyone of course but there was a good few It was a big GIRFUY to everyone in Scottish football at the time. The reason being they should have been allowed to carry on regardless of anything
-
The same person in the workplace I first mentioned in the original post was claiming today they will take 5 goals off us on Saturday It could happen, but highly not expecting that to happen 🤣 If Lennon Miller is still here, and plays and scores the winning goal he can sign for anyone he wants to on Sunday morning, providing it is not the two Glasgow mobs, and it wont be
-
Yep happy with this one as well
-
Hoping Lennon Miller plays and scores the winner Was speaking to a fellow Well fan in work before the Morton game , asked how he thought the game would go Bluenose listening into the conversation enquired if we were talking about the Rangers game ? No mate we are talking about the Well game my response . I didn't even know Motherwell were playing tonight was the response I got . Is it a friendly ? Just shows the majority of them know nothing about Scottish football unless it involves their two Glasgow clubs Even tried to explain to one how the Premier Sports Cup groups work and how to qualify , was apparently some bizarre situation that wouldn't have happened back in the day 🤣
-
Brilliant from JBA 🤣

Got a good feeling about the JBA appointment. Too early to say for sure of course but all positive so far I think and let's see what happens
