  1. I agree and if we are being honest Lennon Millers form has suffered by the utter dross surrounding him and the brutal tactics employed by SK. I think LM is a generational talent but if we judge purely on performances over the season I don't think he tops the list.
  2. Doesnt matter what Falkirk have right now , that is not what they will have to start a campaign in the Premier League and they would be a better attraction for players than Livingston and with average crowds that will eclipse ours I'd rather a potentially weaker team came. up.
  3. Frankly I want teams with similar resources to us to go down and be replaced with teams with less resource . Thats why I hope Falkirk fuck up and Livingston come up. A league with Livingston and Ross County in it gives us less chance of going down that a league with St Johnstone and Falkirk in it.
  4. Thankfully my pessimism for todays game unfounded. Played pretty well for 65 mins . Fell back into our achilles heel of falling back and inviting opposition onto us. Thought Watt MoTM by a country mile but also thought Miller and Slattery played well and wont please the SOD haters but thought he had a solid game too. Thankfully Wimmer can seriously look towards next seasons rebuild now.
  5. I still have my suspicions he wont play for us again.
  6. Once again a draw is best we will get , good chance we will lose, we remain garbage.
  7. all very laudable but the teams above us afford better players because they have far more money than us. The likelihood of us signing players better than what the top 5 and Hearts can afford is remote.
  8. I totally get that and those who wouldn't touch him and many of the reasons they cite are not unreasonable however when you think how much money we've spent for forwards who couldn't score in a barrel of fannies Id take a chance on him. Surprised United they are letting Gallagher go . Thought he did OK for them.
  9. He's better than anything we have and normally I'm dead against the charity service we offer to former players and yes the pull for Moult is strong because of the feeling he has for the club and vice versa. That said he's one Id take a chance on and add as a squad player, he IS BETTER than what we have , he would not cost a fortune. A one year deal as a squad player is no great risk. Christ we paid £250,000 for AP and I'm still yet to be convinced about him or the fact whether he will actually play for us again.
  10. Agreed and no one can point to any league reconstruction inn the last 50 years that delivered what was promised. With 5 games to go the only teams with nothing to play for are Rangers & St Mirren , why would we change that. The league should be looking at innovation , imaginative thinking about the current set up not adding more teams to add fuck all but a change of strip you are looking at.
  11. Last season StJ needed to beat us at Fir Park to stave off relegation they did. StJ needed to beat us in January to relight their season , they did. StJ needed to beat us in the Cup , they did. I have zero confidence this god awful Motherwell squad will beat them in this very important game.
  12. Tha'ts how Id see it , I don't see us winning any of the away games. We cant score so home draws are the most I see us getting. Could that keep us safe heres my stab at the fixtures Round 1 Motherwell versus St J - Draw Hearts v Dundee - Home win Kilmarnock v Ross County - Home Win .. that bloody pitch helping them Round 2 Dundee v Motherwell - Home Win Ross County V Hearts - Draw St J v Kilmarnock - Home win Round 3 Hearts v Motherwell - Home Win Kilmarnock v Dundee - Home Win St Johnstone v Ross County - Draw Round 4 Dundee v Ross County - Home Win Hearts v St Johnstone - Home Win Motherwell v Kilmarnock - Draw Round 5 Kilmarnock v Hearts - Home Win Ross County v Motherwell - Home Win St Johnstone v Dundee - Draw in the highly unlikely event this happened the table would finish like this and thats forecasting an utterly dire run in for us. Hearts 50 Kilmarnock 45 Motherwell 41 Dundee 41 Ross County 40 St Johnstone 36 Just a bit of fun, but even with only 2 points we could still escape the dreaded 11th, this scenario also sees St Johnstone gaining points every week but is extremely unlikely.
  13. Normally we should get 19 homes games but I think Hearts being in the bottom 6 will have a knock on effect as they would not have been factored to be in the bottom six when the 33 game campaign was being drawn up. https://spfl.co.uk/news/post-split-qa-season-202324#:~:text=All clubs play 16 or,at home and 19 away.
  14. If StJ face Dundee first game after the split and beat them then they are within 2 points of Dundee. Too early to write StJ off
