  1. I fucking knew that wee arsehole would send one of ours off. I've never disliked a referee so much since Davie Syme!!!

  3. Agreed and if Skippy story is true, then the same applies. The difference here is as Wellowell says, the relationship between player and gaffer is not a good one.
  4. From a good source, the Elliott Frear deal is looking pretty dead. FGR are refusing to let him go and willing to lose him for nothing at the end of the season. By all accounts, the lad is not chuffed about this whatsoever. Why they'd want to keep a player who clearly wants to go I don't know.
  5. I guess I'm rising to the bait but I've never heard of a scenario like the one you are alluding to. I'm genuinely not looking for an argument, more an education. To my understanding, Coulibaly signed for Posh for an 'initial' years contract and then signed for Killie. I guess (if I'm understanding your point) what your saying is that perhaps Posh may be entitled to some compensation? Or perhaps that they actually sold him to Killie? Assuming that he was as publicised a free agent, what I don't understand is why a releasing club would be entitled to a sell on fee? Other than the lads age, Posh have minimal claim to his development and Killie would've had to have paid that in the summer. Alternatively, Coulibaly may have refused a new offer of a contract in order to become a free agent. Again, any monetary implications would've had to have been addressed at sign up for Killie. Principally, I guess any club could negotiated the release of a 'Josh Law' on the understanding that they may get a cut of a future fee. However, at best, this is a Scott Mcdonald scenario i.e. option of an extension after the first year. Would Hibs had to have given us a fee or if they didn't, any English club would've had to? I genuinely don't know...
  6. Why??? He was signed as a free agent. A great bit of business for Killie and Posh should be kicking themselves.
  7. The Elliott Frear deal isn't as straightforward as you suggest. He's under contract and will be subject to a fee. FGR are trading a lot at the minute and are losing a number of first team players. It would appear that they are going to try and hold out for more money as there are more than just Motherwell competing for his signature.

If I may ask, given the stats provided above regarding crowds during a period of high league placement, how 'should' we be performing? Just being curious.
  9. There are some really rather 'wealthy' English non league teams who can and have offered better wages than transfer competing Scottish clubs. It makes relative sense that they may offer greater wages than many league 1&2 sides as they won't have the same overheads due to economy of scale. It is my understanding that Frear is payed £50k basic plus bonuses at the minute, which I doubt we will better by much if at all.
  10. For the first time, I have a bit of insider knowledge. I have a mate who is very well connected with Exeter and Frear is a close family friend of his. The story is true, Motherwell have had 3 offers refused by Forest Green where things have gone a little sour since Frear has declined the offer of a new contract. Apparently, he was signed by Forrest Green for their big push to the football league and was given a wage that bettered many league 1 and 2 clubs. They want him to stay on, push for promotion and play in league 2. He has apparently ambitions of better. Describing him as a tricky winger with a great first 5 yards, my mate says he's very keen to join us as he knows he will be in the shop window due to the quality of football being better and that Exeter were foolish to have let him go in the first place. I guess it's all down to whether FG and MFC can agree a price now.
  11. I was at the valley to watch Magennis' hatrick. They bloody love him there. Watt on the other hand is not.
  12. I don't believe anything that's written in the scum. Unfortunately, whether we wanted Humphrey or not, I doubt we will be able to afford him. Dempster will be getting rather desperate to win that league as given the money spent so far, further failure would surely mean getting her jotters. Besides, I don't recall Chris Humphrey being universally loved first time around.
  13. Perhaps I'll be more literal in the future. Absolutely no offence intended and I agree with almost all you say.
  14. Absolutely no disrespect intended but the opening post is hugely reminiscent of the conversations I've had with my 5 year old since he did his list for santa. Despite me telling him he wasn't getting a hover board he went about telling everyone who asked that he was getting a hover board. Imagine his disappointment when he found a scissor scooter and a skate board at the bottom of the tree this morning. They can both do a job, cost less for both of them and present far less of a risk if either of them turned out to be an unwanted gift. I trust you get my point
  15. Whilst our resident (and at present Burmese) bellend manages to lose his point with fanciful lies, baiting and name calling, he does echo some consistent calls for pushing the young ahead of the 'old'. Whether we appreciate it or not, the summer transfer window was a difficult one. A definite stick or twist scenario. Twist by getting rid of a lot of experience in one fell swoop would certainly open the way for the u20s that so many in her see as our saviours. Again, the reference made by the 'spotty 14 year old' to the administration season wouldn't have been far off from that scenario. We had some real talent in that young squad and still bombed. At least we'd be able to afford to sign some lower league journeymen to see them right? Stick, keep the experience to 'blood' that young talent and we find ourselves in this present state. Ya bezzer is right in that this is a tight league that can turn on a six pence and we won't be able to buy our way out.
  16. Agreed and Heneghan should've been sent off. Madden is have an absolute shocker
  17. How have you reached that conclusion???? Pass backs like the one from Lucas have happened for years and will continue to, Samson was under no pressure and had options ... he fucked it. The pass to heneghan for the first was behind him and wide...it came with sirens!!! How was he to blame for the second???
  18. Watching replays confirm it was never a penalty but most would give that on the night. I don't think the midfield are doing that bad? I've never indulged in the slagging of Samson but he's cost us two goals tonight. Granted, the conditions are difficult but each of those goals should never have been allowed to materialise by a professional goalkeeper at that level.
  19. Good goal from Skippy....there's gonna be loads of goals tonight. I can feel it in my wAter
