  1. Here's radical! Let's go get Stephen Dobbie and we will at least get some goals.
  2. Good! I believe Kipre's value can only increase and we don't need to be in a hurry to sell.
  3. I think Crawford would be great for us
  4. I thought he had signed for some club back in his home country (forget the name)
  5. Andy P - 22 hours ago if I am reading it properly (might not be though)
  6. Brian McClair left Celtic for Man Utd and went on to play many times for them as well as receive many more Scottish caps so to say he didn't return to his previous form after his injury at Celtic is not really the case imho
  7. Something about Paul Lambert linked with the St Mirren manager's job. Surely not!
  8. Can we get back to the topic of young Motherwell players have been capped at full and under-21 level and how good that is?
  9. It was worse that Ross Mathie was a local former Dalziel boy. I got in half an hour before the end after playing BB football. Terrific atmosphere though.
  10. Like the others that night I will always remember the feeling when Gordon gave Rangers that penalty. Straight from a punt up the park by McCloy after Greig nearly cut Pettigrew in half. The guys I was with all agreed at that point that all was not fair and we were never going to win that night. I still get mad about it and I am now in my sixties and should have calmed down by now.
  11. When I was young (many years ago) a lot of the amateur select teams were made up from players from Queens' Park which was famous, in those days, for being amateurs. That may not be the case now but it does show that you didn't need to be playing the amateur leagues to be in one of their select teams.
  12. If we are saying non-well players like Joe Jordan, then Tommy Gemmell, (grew up in Craigneuk, Went to Wishaw High School, scored in two European Cup Finals, won the European Cup, but best of all, kicked the German Helmut Haller up the arse in a world cup tie in Germany.
  13. I used to live next door to Joe Wark in those days and my family and his went to the game together. Yes we were well and truly gubbed by a fantastic WBA team, however, Willie P won the sprint and for years I had a photograph to prove it. He didn't win by much right enough.
