Personally, I'll be gutted to see James Scott go. I think he will develop into one hell of a player. He just needs to start putting the ball in the net. I'd have preferred to see that at Motherwell. I think if he was still here when Turnbull returns, the goals will come.

I think most non OF fans are now accepting that you need to write off X amount of points a season due to incompetent refereeing. These things happen and you just need to gt on with it. I get annoyed each time, but basically, no one in Scottish Football cares enough to stop this from happening again. Scottish referees are so bad, the VAR machine would probably break...

I think VAR is a good then when employed sensibly. Down South, they have chosen to employ in the way you say, which to me is wrong. The way VAR was used at the last World cup I thought on the whole was very good. A few contentious decisions, which were mainly down to opinions. If the PL used VAR to it's full extent, you wouldn't have seen any of the moans and grumbles you currently get. Some of the decisions that have gone against Aston Vila have been shocking.

I would like to assume that we have a sell on clause. It appears to have been our policy in recent years when it comes to selling our better players. If there is not a sell on clause, that would be a deviation from standard policy. I would like to think that appart from the upfront fee, we would make it a stipulation of any deal that we would insist on a sell on clause. Any other add ons is just gravy.

Have read the thread form the moment the news broke. Have a few thoughts. My opinion is that we should keep him for at least another year. Yes, I know the talk of gentlemens agreement etc. Turnbull said himself when he signed a new contract that he had other offers. He wanted to play for Motherwell. Then there's talk of a gamble in not accepting Celtic's bid. Yes, he could get injures or have a loss of form. However, chances are he will be a better player next season, having had most of a season under his belt this year. The way we played since January has convinced me we could push for the top 6. if we keep our best players. Another argument is that we need the cash. We always need cash. That doesn't change. I know we have debts, but lets be honest, they are interest free and neither Boyle or Les are beating down the doors to get their cash back. I want to go to Fir Park and watch good football, especially if the talented players are homegrown. If we don't get a chance to watch then, what is the point? It's just subsisting at the most basic level. I know he's not away yet. I think he is too good for the SPFL. He should go abroad to a more technical league. He IS THAT good. The club always talk about being fan owned. If that is the case we deserve to know the full facts of the deal. For me, Undesclosed feels like a slap in the face. (Just my opinion). I agree that we would not be having this debate if the bid had come from anyone other than the old firm.
