  1. Had it been the other way I suspect a much longer VAR review would have happened . i don’t blame the ref tbh , he had a good view and can see why he may not give it. But you’d expect a longer review from VAR which is poor , yet typical against OF
  2. Just adding my own perspective on longelo as think he’s a decent player . Personal view is the left hand side of the pitch is an area we lack balance , therefore quite a bit of expectation for longelo to cover a lot of ground . Particularly today where rangers are pretty strong on their right hand side . for contrast on the right we have JK but he’s supported by Said , Just and Sparrow who have a tendency to be on the right . The times longelo has been at his best he has RCC on the left to support him . Appreciate we all see the game differently - just wanted to chuck my 2 cents in . Overall key that we find a different striker if we want to kick on and get top 4
  3. Our good run was always going to come to an end . We played well for 20 mins and didn’t take our chances . As much as I hate to say it rangers were the better team and deserved to win . i don’t like picking out individual players , I don’t think it was down to any single player today that we lost . Felt it more that we lacked belief that we could win.
  4. Feel we lacked a bit of belief today but can’t fault the teams effort
  5. They ask what your view is on Tom Boyd - the answer given proves who the well fans are
  6. To be fair it’s given it’s a bit of a stretch to seriously consider us to win the league - Leicester would be the comparison and I’m sure they were leading at Xmas . finish in top 6 will be fabulous - top 4 would be amazing - anything more needs a level of magic for us and further disaster for others.
  7. I think we’ve played well - similar issue to most weeks is we lack a cutting edge . Trying to pass our way through the eye of a needle at times . id like to see both wingbacks pushed further up and whip in a few crosses
  8. If Watt had taken to ground when the ref played advantage with Robertson all over him that could easily have ended in a red card . I know the ref played advantage but stunned Robertson never got booked .
  9. Oh I do love a rumour of previous Well stars coming back. Turnbull would be an outstanding addition - I think his style of play does suit us. Attack minded team who want to play football and carve their way through a team - yes please. I could see a loan being possible especially if they want to sell him with a year left on his contract. Appreciate there are other more pressing roles to solve but it cheered my well soul to think about Turnbull back home in the current set up.
  10. Spot the common theme ... Ross County: Ended his spell with 1 win in his final 16 league games, leading to his dismissal in December 2020. Motherwell: Oversaw a 12-match league winless run during the 2023/24 season. Later left the club having managed just 1 win in his final 9 matches. Kilmarnock: Dismissed after a 10-game winless run in the Scottish Premiership. 2 wins from the aforementioned 47 games. Just can't keep some fans happy.
  11. Well done Robbo and St Mirren - I didn't enjoy being knocked out the cup but always better to know those who did went on to win. Must give a nod to Robinson as thats both with us and StMirren he's been able to get clubs to cup finals + regularly got teams with low budget into top 6. If it wasn't for the absolutely snobbery of OF they could both of done much worse than look at him. Also pleasing to see OF not win a final, any club that get stop either of the OF winning deserves a huge amount of credit. Overall very pleased for them , they deserve their moment. PS Santa - I'd like MFC to have a similar moment soon
  12. Shows how far we’ve come when we’re disappointed not to win at Tanndadice On a wet & windy December afternoon it was always going to be tough . Teams are getting wise and negate us playing through them , they also know how to handle (man handle) Just who is an excellent player but it’s man v boy in physical sense. I felt it was obvious from early on that we needed width which SOD won’t offer and JK limited on left . For me id have have Sparrow Longelo on , both are very effective . Said and RCC both offer a bit of physicality, having them on much earlier would have improved things . All that being said , 0-0 is decent . I can’t recall being close to Xmas and only losing 2 games .
  13. Agree with that , add Watt and Fadigner who also had typical solid games .
  14. Said has had a positive impact - we need more zip in our play
