Spittal wasn't great but credit for getting into the box for the penalty.
Goss is getting into some nice positions allowing him t pull the strings..need more from maguire thought,think hes sitting deeper in midfield allowing the rest t push on a wee bit more

GA for almost a year we played poorly , lost our way, ran out of ideas.
Someone with experience who knows what to do will be fab, wound's be against someone like Hammell/Faddy as the number 2 but some experience is needed.
Saw a few comments about don't expect great flowing football , I don't expect Barca but I see different games at all levels and there's plenty of entertainment, excitement when teams are well organised and play together.Ive said previously i dont think we have a bad squad of players,they just seem t have the shackles on,we need someone t come in n give them the confidence,freedom n most of all a system they can express themselves in

Some of the names on the list appeal t me n why wouldnt they,some of the older guys for one last throw of the dice,allerdyce,warnock,give them a wee project t rebuuld our mess, i know from listening t warnock on talksport he loves it up here in scotland,why not test the water for these type of managers

Im not one for slatting my team n always try t look for the positives but by fuck that was painful t watch tnight..it looked like mugabi n carroll swapped boots n wore them on the wrong feet,i said after the first game that the sligo players were in the shop window,well after tnight there will b buyers going into the shop for them,ive read on here numerous times that we need CB,LB,ST..blaney,23 years old,kirk,24 n keena,23 years old all of them worth a punt,i thought they in particular were excellent,but i think after the 2 legs against us they're destined for bigger and better things than joining our shambles of a club

Do i sense he has tinkered wi the formation..my thinking is u just wouldnt waste tierney wide right u would just play shields for that KVV up top wi 2 playing off him,or even morris n KVV central wi tierney in behind let the fullbacks push on n get crosses in,it does look a promising lineup although as someone has said its only one change fae last week

We have 7 guys on the books who have played CH,why would he sign anymore,I'll say it again"we dont have a bad squad,we have a bad system"the space inbetween our lines is too big n is easy t break through with a quick one-two in n out of midfield t wing backs then our MF 3 just get swamped by oppositions 4/5,i know the defence has t sit off a bit as we dont have the pace for the ball over the top,we found that out a couple of times last week,we need a 10 in the hole t cut out the first ball(he did it against hearts 2nd last game)n we need the security of someone holding in front of the defence if we were t play a 3,im sure it looked like maguire was playing that last week,if so it didnt work,id have deano there for his aggresion n work rate n the fact hes one of our own n he knows wot this game means t all of us..a little over 3 hours n we shall c...COYW

Does anyone remember from last week if KVV created or had a chance at goal,im struggling t think of any,he cant possibly go another game wi that stat.hopfully the "knock" has cleared up n hes another week fitter/sharper. Agreed,but wouldnt that mean GA having t change to a 352,..343,my preference would b a 5 in midfield SOD right,tierney in a forward roll centrally,slattery inside SOD,this is where i start t scratch my head 2 places in midfield up for grabs,do we play carrol a natural"left back"n ask him t push on,that would leave spittal morris McGuire deano goss for one other place,sheilds n KVV through middle,none of this peeling out wide n leaving central area empty,u would have the 2 playing inbetween the goalposts tierney coming from deep,backed up by slattery and an other or we could sacrifice the defensive abilities of SOD and carrol n go with more forward thinking"wingbacks"i remember jim obrien playing that role effectively years ago,if we go 433 we will get overrun in the middle again,ive checked back sligo's systems,they change all the time according t who they r playing,mostly a 4 sometimes even 5 in the middle i can c that being the same on thursday so we need t match them up numbers wise or it could b a long night

I thought sligo were decent in wot they done last night,theyre 23 games into a season,we've had 2 bounce games,they have alot of youngsters in the shop window n it showed,their attitude n effort outshone ours,most of our team have reached their ceiling,after us the only way is down im no saying they didnt try but they didnt match sligo,all that said we still created really good chances,their keepee had excellent saves n sheilds falls over the ball fae 6 yards out,i think the tie is far from over we just need a spark n aye im shouting it again...TEIRNEY MUST START next week,i dont know who for but GA has got t find a system that gets him on the park
