  1. I wasn’t there and haven’t seen any footage so can’t comment on performance or result. But it was clearly a stiff test against a good team and we come out of it with a draw. Fair play to the manager and the team.
  2. Can’t see us getting anything I’m afraid. Most likely a frustrating narrow 1-2 defeat in what is a typical Motherwell v Rangers game at Fir Park, the type we’ve seen all too often over the years.
  3. Haha did they? Tonight just gets better 😄
  4. Even I get it wrong sometimes!
  5. Well…I did think it would be 3-0. Good job done in the end and a special strike to seal it from TM.
  6. Ward comes back into goals tonight. Stam starts up front.
  7. And they have it, regardless how tonight goes. It will be unacceptable if we don’t win. But I’ll be there supporting them as best I can. Unlike you. 🙂
  8. 100% and tonight is going to be extremely tough for us and I’m not confident at all. That said though failure to win and progress will be completely and utterly unacceptable.
  9. Yeah and Ross County away in 2017 and Hearts at home in 2019. Being seeded means next to nothing for us in this competition and as you say you can't trust Motherwell to win any cup tie against anyone.
  10. I want to like Slattery as he does have 'something' as we saw the other night but disappears too often. Watt and Fadinger it's too early to say but they look lightweight and could be overrun easily especially when it comes to League fixtures.
  11. Indeed it did, especially combined with the long sleeved base layer.
  12. It definitely is because the team simply isn't good enough to expect anything better. There is very little football in that squad and we are badly lacking in defence and up front. Looking at the opening round of fixtures it's hard to see us getting much, if anything. We will lose to Rangers, lose to St.Mirren and Hearts and then we have Kettlewell's Killie Pies at home in which, on paper at least, is already "must win" for us.
  13. Had he ever done it before he signed for us? And he certainly hasn't come close to repeating it since he left. Van Veen had the season of his life for us in 22/23 and that was the exception to the rule for both him and us as a club to have a 25 goal + striker. It was once in a blue moon stuff.
  14. Unless we pull a significant improvement out of the hat this won’t be pleasant for us. 0-3 defeat.
  15. It must have been the exceptions to the rule on the few occasions I’ve sat in that sections then.
  16. We won. That’s the positive. The less said about the performance the better. Tuesday night is must win but that was the case regardless of the result today.
  17. Should have been a penalty there! Where’s VAR when you need it
  18. I’m not making excuses for what is another poor performance but those pitches seriously need to be done away with right across the board. It’s a joke that professional football is being played on them.
  19. Correct and if we don’t score the next goal we’re not winning this one imo.
  20. Scrappy stuff again and poor overall. Glad to be winning but we will need another to be safe I reckon as we will concede.
  21. One of the strangest goals you’ll ever see from SO’D but who cares? They all count!
  22. Total domination of possession but absolutely toothless up front. The pitch and the weather conditions clearly aren’t helping to be fair.
  23. It won’t be unique to us but we have never had a united support certainly not in my time supporting the club. There are guys in the East Stand that spend half the game trying to pick a fight with anyone who expresses an opinion that they disagree with and it inevitably descends into the usual “support yer team or fuck off tae Ibrox” replied to with “Ave paid ma money a’ll say whit a like” and such like. The Main Stand centre section is pretty bad for that kind of thing too. And of course it is reflected on here and other social media forums.
