  1. It helps when the clearly superior opposition has shot themselves in the foot repeatedly with bad decisions on and off the park relating to managers and player recruitment. We’ve never got that slice of fortune whenever we’ve faced Celtic in cup finals in recent times. Obviously that was outwith our control but as I said I still wouldn’t have backed us to beat this particular Celtic side in a Cup final had it been us playing them today.
  2. I hope a bigger club does take him away from St.Mirren now. I hate St.Mirren with a passion. Robinson is a decent guy who did well with us and unfortunately much better with them.
  3. That’s what guts me. Robinson got us to two cup finals and we never laid a glove on them. Circumstances have obviously worked in St.Mirrens favour this year with Celtic being in turmoil but even if that had been us playing that Celtic team today we would still have ended up losing. We are not nearly clinical and streetwise enough as a team to win games like these. I never ever thought I would be so annoyed to see Celtic lose a cup final but I am honestly fucking pig sick seeing St.Mirren win that.
  4. I am truly sickened about that. I’m giving up football for the foreseeable.
  5. But if Aberdeen sack Thelin then would they come looking at JBA??
  6. Disappointed not to win that but happy enough not to lose and preserve our unbeaten and clean sheet run. Again that game highlights our weakness up front but we undoubtedly are more than decent elsewhere on the park. Hopefully results like today and the other draws we’ve had won’t come back to haunt us but you’ve got to say we are in with a big shout of top six this season.
  7. St.Mirren are going to win the League Cup next week aren’t they?
  8. Delighted with that. Three clean sheets in a row too!
  9. Beautiful goal from Watt. We need another though.
  10. Fancy us to win this 2-0 tonight. Albeit the loss of Watt can’t be understated.
  11. Could have been worse, could have been better. We should win but I will never fully trust us to win a Cup tie against anyone.
  12. It’s all about progression so the weakest side at home to give us the best possible chance is what we need.
  13. Christ no! That would have disaster of all disasters written all over it.
  14. We were pretty decent yesterday i thought but again lacked the cutting edge. With the exception of the opening period of the 2nd half we matched up with and at times nullified a strong Hearts side. Eli Just was brilliant again. We’ve definitely shown improvements in our game management over the last month and credit to JbA for learning lessons from the LCSF debacle.
  15. We need to avoid a Premiership club or a high flying Championship team as they have been brutal for us the last few years in this competition.
  16. Not going to be our day unfortunately.
  17. VAR is utter poison. I don’t care if that was technically the correct decision or not, it is absolutely sucking any joy and spontaneous moments of enjoyment out of the game.
  18. Don’t see us getting anything from this one infact I think we could actually be on the end of a drubbing. 1-5 Hearts
  19. According to the official X it’s Hendry, Longelo, Fadinger, Said and Slattery. No mention of AP.
  20. Interesting lineup. Five changes! Sparrow, Gordon, Priestman, Just and RCC all in. AP nowhere to be seen??
