  1. Definitely a missed opportunity. Just like Tynecastle last Saturday. As I said the other week, Rangers are rank rotten and will drop plenty of points this season.
  2. Yeah I get that and like you I’ve liked what I’ve seen so far this season. But we need that first win badly. The reason I brought up the Gannon time is because that is the last time there was this overall excitement about the place early in the season which was based on, dare I say it, more than we’ve seen this season, and some of the talk about how good we would be was wild. And it all fell apart very quickly. I’m not saying JBA is anything remotely like Gannon but it is still very early days and regardless of improved performances we still haven’t managed to win a game yet. So, I’m not getting carried away.
  3. Exactly. Talk of top six finishes and silverware when we’re yet to register a league game victory is absolutely wild. It actually reminds me to an extent of the early days of the Jim Gannon era when you had people talking about Gannon being a ‘Visionary messiah’ and us splitting the Old Firm and Ross Forbes and Paul Slane (yes Ross Forbes and Paul Slane!!!) being future Scotland mainstays because we scudded an Albanian ‘pub team’ 8-1 in the EL Qualifiers…..And we all know how that turned out…on all of those fronts. There are grounds for optimism so far but that’s all it is and until we start showing that we can win football matches in this league then it won’t go much further than that.
  4. Well we did manage to shut St.Mirren out so we’ve got a clean sheet in us. Both us and Killie have identical records in that we’ve both drawn our first three games of the season so another draw here is most likely. If there is a winner though I don’t see it being us unfortunately.
  5. Well fortunately I don’t bet money on football so…🤷‍♂️
  6. I certainly didn’t see us being as comfortable against Hearts at Tynecastle as we were for the first hour or so today. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. In the end though we were holding on for a draw and it really wouldn’t have been much of a surprise if Hearts had nicked it at the death so I don’t think my prediction of a defeat was too far off.
  7. Correct. A perfect summary of where we currently are.
  8. It’s night and day. We actually look like we want to play football and win games instead of conceding possession and hoping to nick something from a set piece. There are promising signs, no question about that. However, we bottled it today. We’re bad enough with 2-0 leads usually but today we get a third and we still don’t win. I’m sorry but to me that’s bottling it. That said, there are encouraging signs going forward and I’m not as disheartened as I would normally be at us conceding a 3-0 lead to only draw.
  9. A huge setback and no getting away from but that but certainly not a disaster either. A point at Tynecastle is always a good result when the dust settles. We just need that first win on the board.
  10. No arguments there and again we have shown some really promising stuff, the type of which was never evident under our previous three managers. You can see what JBA is doing and he is building a competitive team which we need to hope comes good, but as I said we need to make that count by turning draws into wins. It’s early days though still. To take a step back, looking at our opening fixtures…Rangers(H), St.Mirren and Heats(A) to come through that unbeaten is commendable. However as I said context is important with draws and I’m afraid 3-0 up with 20 to go and end up hanging on for a point isn’t good enough. Next week at home against Kilmarnock is crucial, we NEED to pick up all three points.
  11. Well before the game you’d snap the arm off anyone who offers you a draw at Tynecastle against an in form Hearts side. But context is everything with draws. Regardless of what was another very good first half performance and a strong start to the second half we have thrown away a 3-0 lead with less than twenty minutes left and that is totally and utterly unacceptable, as well as being completely unprofessional. So it’s two points dropped rather than a point gained and as I said earlier it was a classic Motherwell bottle job. We are now in the position of being three league games into the season and have no wins to our name. We even needed extra time against St.Johnstone last week to secure League Cup progression. Today should ring alarm bells loud and clear to anyone who thinks this team is capable of top six this season, because until we actually manage to win football matches then that is pie in the sky. Not good enough Motherwell.
  12. Classic Motherwell bottle job. Pathetic.
  13. We’ll be lucky to get a draw now.
  14. We just couldn’t help ourselves could we? 3-3 with a last minute equaliser incoming.
  15. Sublime finish. Now the acid test. Can we actually defend a 2-0 lead without conceding at least one???
  16. A very good first half performance and a deserved lead to show for it. However, we need the next goal.
  17. Well a very lucky deflection but they all count. That’s why you need to shoot for goal when the opportunity is there instead of this trying to walk the ball in nonsense.
  18. Again it’s hard to see where goals will come from in that starting XI. If we are going to get anything here then 0-0 is our best hope.
  19. Absolutely brilliant signing! Welcome Regan Charles Cooke!
  20. Yes 100%. We’ve got more important things to concern ourselves with going forward.
  21. I mean I don’t know where I have shown support for them on this particular thread but I suppose when your definition of “showing support for Rangers” is suggesting that Celtic fans behaviour is worse than theirs is then I’ve probably earned a pat on the back. And probably a handshake too… 🤝
  22. Possibly, it wouldn’t surprise me. But like I’ve said, from first hand experience and witnessing their behaviour close up and the state they have regularly left our stadium in, Celtic fans are way ahead of Rangers in the horrible scummy arsehole stakes. This two year old thread has been bumped for that very reason…Celtic fans behaviour. Not Rangers fans, not ‘Old Firm fans’, Celtic fans.
  23. Well I don’t know too much about any of those instances but I have seen up front with my own eyes the behaviour of Celtic fans inside and outside of Fir Park and I have seen the damage they have caused to the ground, which is far worst than anything Rangers fans have done to Fir Park in recent times.
