The management of the club has been absolutely shambolic for at least a year now. Allowing the previous manager to oversee such a dismal return in the second half of last season, extending his contract and then to start this season in charge only for him to oversee a European embarrassment and then chuck it on the eve of the season. And then we appoint the academy coach who has no senior management experience experience, allow him to bring in two ex players who had barely been on a football pitch in the last two years and six months down the line we are staring relegation in the race for the first time in nearly forty years. It has been an absolute clusterfuck of a year for us as a club.

Rangers and Hearts now both winning which helps keep a glimmer of hope alive for us.
-
Sorry Hammell, but it’s time to go. And Ross County now level at Ibrox thanks to Jordan White.
-
Slightly better so far 2nd half but still no threat on goal. KvV, McKinstry and Crankshaw on now.
-
A minor blessing, but as things stand we are officially bottom of the league tonight.
-
Grim stuff again. Down without a whimper. ☹️

Yep, we’re not coming back this. Another poorly defended goal. Let’s face it, it’s Championship football for us next season.
-
Looks like the type of game where one goal will win it. We need to get it.
-
Sadly agree, if we don’t get a result from this then he’ll likely lose even more of the support. Hopefully for once the players actually go out there, play as a team and show a bit of fight and desire.

I cannot for the life of me understand how O’Donnell starts after his 45 minute cameo the other night.
-
Interesting lineup KvV benched and Obika starts Danzaki and McKinstry on the bench No Blaney, still injured surprise, surprise Goss starts and unbelievably so does SO’D
-
Given we haven’t won a single game this season where we haven’t scored first then absolutely, but the same could be said of any game.
-
Ex Dundee Utd, hopefully adds something to the midfield.
-
A defender. Is it too much to hope he’s a centre half?

I think relegation was always inevitable for us as a club. When you look at other clubs that have been relegated more than once in the near forty years we’ve been a top flight club, clubs bigger than us, then it’s a quite incredible feat that we have managed to stay in the top league for so long regardless of our luck with league reconstruction and clubs not having adequate stadiums for the top flight. However I do think that far too much emphasis has been placed on our social media focus and our standing in the community over the past decade rather than the team on the park and we are now reaping the rewards of that. Yes we are not a ‘big club’ and yes we are doing the right thing by reaching out to the community, something we didn’t do enough of in the past. However that should not take the focus off of what we are, and that is a professional top flight football club and the fortunes of the team on on the park should be our number one priority as a club. I feel that over the last few years our ‘on the park’ fortunes have been shoved down the pecking order in favour of our social media standing and our desire to be a ‘pillar in the local community’. And let me be clear, I don’t think that there is anything wrong with either of those, but they take the focus away from what should be the most important thing for us as a football club…to be the best we can be on the park and give the support a team they can be proud of.

Another defeat.
-
And yet another fucking injury this time to Blaney. So we now have one fit CB at the club.
-
Barring a miracle we are going down, this team has absolutely nothing.
-
The white kit is easily the best of the three. Third game in a row we’ve not had the ‘home kit’ and we won’t be seeing it at Pittodrie on Saturday either or at Kirkcaldy. It’s a welcome break from it.
-
Until Obika gets injured too.
-
I know what you mean, but I still stand by Stevie Hammell. He was put in an impossible position by the board.
-
Knowing our luck this season he probably injured himself pulling the strip on for the photoshoot of his signing and will be a doubt for tomorrow/out for a couple of weeks/might be available for the playoffs/hardly ever play yet have posters on here in about eight years time dedicating their usernames to him etc, etc
-
I know that, but the striker is injured, the winger is so far unproven, albeit promising and we don’t really know anything about the goalscoring midfielder. We still lack, as far as I can see, a ball winning midfielder, a left back and a player who can offer something from wide or in the final third. It has been an active window but we need quality over quantity, if you pardon the cliche.
-
If we end the window with the squad we currently have then we are as good as down in my opinion. The next five hours are going to be crucial to our survival chances this season.

A year or so ago I would have taken Kyle Lafferty in a heartbeat but not now. He’s barely played at Killie this season plus he’s 35 years old and by all accounts a bit of a helmet of a guy. I wouldn’t imagine he’s on our radar anyway.
