  1. He's 'home' and my eyes are very wet.
  2. I would argue that we (decent members of society) should be campaigning to bring down the corrupt government at Westminster before we start to revert to an early 20th century lifestyle to mitigate impacts of cost/shortage. Scotland is a net exporter of energy, yet we are shafted. The solution doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out.
  3. Aarons and McKinstry are really positive signings if we can get the best out of them, but we still need another capable first-team striker.
  4. We are completely hamstrung by the mess left by Alexander. It’ll take 2-3 windows to get past his legacy of shit. Our attacking options rely solely on KVV, so we need to sign a first team striker to start playing with him immediately. Otherwise, we will remain blunt and toothless. My assessment: Morris is woeful. Send him packing back to Alexander. Efford is complete mince. Get rid. Shields is into year 2 of his 3-year deal, and is evidently not good enough for this level. Tierney needs game time, but isn’t good enough to start or affect games yet. Send him out on loan until January. Mahon is a boy, not a first team player. We also need a commanding centre back and a controlling midfielder. Did I mention that I hate Alexander? An arrogant imposter of a manager.
  5. Fanny by Gaslight. It’s beside the train station.
  6. A good player does not make a good manager. GA is a fraud.
  7. 'more new faces' = plural = striker and midfielder?
  8. Unfortunately for Efford, the evidence suggests that his brain and legs aren't connecting.
  9. Efford isn't good enough for this league. He's part of the Alexander generation and we have moved beyond that.
  10. He's gonna do well. He get's it. It's that simple.
  11. 'Motherwell could also move some of their own fringe players on before the close of the window.' I wonder who they are...
  12. The latest on Snodgrass and other ins/outs.
  13. Alexander sings a journeyman left-sided midfielder in Morris, and Hammy signs a proper young winger in McKinstry. You do the math. I'm genuinely excited about the Hammy era.
  14. I cannot like Livi due to their atrocious plastic pitch, but I remain impressed by how much they punch above their weight. Notwithstanding, as the game is at FP and now that we seem to have figured out how to play football under Hammy, I think we should win this one. We should be ending next weekend with 9 points from 12.
  15. I've added my tuppence-worth in bold above.
  16. No. Mugabi and Sol are not good enough.
  17. Outstanding result. If we were more clinical, it could’ve been 5 or 6. Bring on the season!
  18. Not according to a 2008 interview (http://www.motherwell-mad.co.uk/feat/edx1/colin_oneill_speaks_to_firparkcorner_412896/index.shtml): Did you ever consider coaching/management? No, it's not the same. I used to be sick pre-game but being a manager is just not the same atmosphere. I'd rather be out there chasing people and getting involved rather than watching from the sidelines. Seems he's more annoyed with the SFA and lack of support from them after his retiring, and that has translated to him taking his feelings out on the Club (https://m.facebook.com/Colin-ONeills-fight-for-equality-within-SFA-English-FA-623274267809016/)
  19. I am delighted for Hammy. Listening to him talk about an integrated club is positive. Having staff work across all the squads is vital to develop continuity between the Academy and First Team and everything in between. This comment and vision suggest that Alexander was given free rein to do what he wanted, such as relegating Lasley, filling the squad with shit from elsewhere and sticking with the same anti-football hoofball, and look how that ended. Making him King Alexander of MFC is what nearly killed us off. Our Club thrives when we are an enjoyable to watch but an average team who ocassionally punches above our weight. That approach is not compatibile with arrogance. Appointing Hammy suggests to me that the Board now understand what the Club needs and what the fans want. Given we've already entered and been expelled from a Euro campaign and started our season, Hammy's other comments on the lack of fitness and required recruitment are unsurprising but a further damning indictment of the Alexander regime. I would expect Daws to also be mutually-consented soon and for the Board to have learned a very harsh and expensive lesson with the recent Alexander project. Good riddance to Alexander the Failed.
