  1. A thoroughly deserved and much-needed home win today, with a lot to be pleased and pissed off about in equal measure.
  2. The defence did well, but it has to be Maswanhise. He is a joy to watch at times.
  3. I know, I went to that game, unfortunately. Whatever happens, I can guarantee that it'll be a poor and inconsistent decision that does not consider either set of fans. This is the SPFL and SFA we're talking about here.
  4. The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow (Lanarkshire) and snow & ice (Aberdeenshire) for tomorrow. The weather will likely directly affect both the game in Motherwell and those travelling south from Aberdeen. My prediction is P-P at the final hour before kickoff.
  5. That would require a better manager.
  6. You’re welcome. What’s a football forum without hyperbole, eh?!
  7. There’s plenty of the season left for him to live up to this accolade. And the only reason I’m maintaining my position on him is because he is so fundamentally incapable of learning from his mistakes or developing his managerial and tactical approach.
  8. A donkey of the highest calibre, and unfortunately he’ll be getting yet another transfer window to further bloat the squad with crap.
  9. Yes. I’m tired of the same mistakes being repeated over and over again. Kettlewell has a complete inability to learn or progress as a manager.
  10. Callan Elliot mk2. Hopefully another nail in the Daws coffin.
  11. Another team on a bad run who can’t buy a win. Welcome to Motherwell.
  12. Kettlewell is nothing without Miller.
  13. Are you all still on the Kettlewell bandwagon, aye?
  14. We should be approaching this game in the same way we approached the first half of the rangers game. If so, we should be fine and I would expect a decent win.
  15. An interesting thread on the 2016 Scottish Youth Cup winning team: https://x.com/kaigwatson/status/1874007225674719282?s=46&t=wehikD-exiutCByWu64YEQ
  16. Can anyone tell me what the point of the KMI panel is, other than to continually highlight the incompetence and bias of the officials? The opinion of the panel is not that of the officials anyway, and the SFA (Collum) has final say - in the media - on whether they think the controversial decisions were correct or not. It seems to me that it’s merely a gimmick to allow the SFA to say they’re doing something about the poor officiating by being transparent. Yet we’ve seen that this weekly transparency leads to zero improvements or consequences. Considering the appallingly poor application of VAR in Scotland and the shite officials we consistently produce, the addition of the KMI panel opinion makes everything look like a complete farce. It’s embarrassing. Yeh, they got it wrong, again, sorry lads, but sweep sweep, nothing to see here, unless you’re the rangers or Celtic.
  17. I think the answer lies in moving to a back 4 with 1 or 2 defensive pivot-type midfielders sitting in front of them. Perhaps a 4-2-3-1, although I doubt Kettlewell will ever move away from the 3 central defenders approach.
  18. The opinion on the KMI panel is not really that of the SFA. It’s a pointless exercise in deflection, although it does further highlight the general incompetence of the officials. We were screwed over again yesterday and not a single thing will be done about it.
  19. I think the blue line represents the part of the defenders body closest to the goal and the red line indicates the part of the attackers body closest to the goal. But for the attacker, as the other poster pointed out, it has to be a part of the body that you can score from for it to be offside. Therefore, the image above shows that Casey was not offside as he cannot score from his elbow, and his shoulder, which he can score from, is in line with the blue line (defenders toe or knee), which makes him onside. Another image from this decision shows that the lines were drawn once the ball had left the boot of our man who took the free kick. If so, this offside and no-goal is another incorrect decision that has gone against us.
  20. But it's possible to highlight the unfair treatment and stand up for what's right without behaving like a hormonal teenager on the touchline, is it not? To be clear, I have no problem whatsoever with his incessant questioning of decisions and the officials in his pre-/post-match interviews. It's his touchline behaviour that I find a bit stupid and unnecessary, and it ultimately points to his inexperience. He should know by now that he doesn't have to get himself yellow/red carded for the numerous injustices to be highlighted. Furthermore, if he wants to point to the professionalism of the officials, then he needs to get his own house in order first. It's his job to be the manager and call out the crap in the media, which I commend, and not to behave like an angry keyboard warrior abusing the officials.
  21. Neither were fouls. However, Butland initiated the contact with Watt; therefore, by the referees logic yesterday, it should've been a penalty to Motherwell. But no, the keeper is overprotected and can shove players out of the way without being penalised, and even more so because they play for the rangers. The referees in Scotland are pathetic.
  22. I think we will/should offer terms to McGinn (another year), Paton (2-years), Casey (2-years), Slattery (short-term deal) and Watt (1-year). And JT, as I said above.
  23. Is Maswanhise only on a short-term deal until January or was that extended and I've missed it? If not, he should be offered an 18-month deal, at least, come January.
  24. Easy. Maswanhise. He showed flashes of his debut performance yesterday.
  25. Kettlewell is a twat. His disciplinary record speaks for itself.
