  1. Maybe, but as a set of fans, (like us), they have no influence in whom their Owner/CE target for their managerial role.....nor do they have any influence in how their Owner/CE conduct themselves during this process.

Milne an co are obviously looking at the cheap option. A couple of pensioners who would work there balls off without needing a contract. Sort their mess then ride into the limelight, leaving it a skoosh case for the new guy whenever one's found

Wait. Hmm. Bit of deja vu there

  2. Who's pan?

The wee bint wi Kev's wean. Confessed to Sal. Fukin cow.

Jakey Pete. Got married with the "I do" as his last words.

Canny wait for that baldy guy to rip it to shreds on saturday night

A few others copped it an-all

Did'nt see broony or Erchie. Might have been disguised! :dash2:

  3. I'm wi you on this Pie. Very unproffesional conduct from the "sheep". They were all laughing when craig and archie came. One reasonable bit of success and they're trying to steal him.

    Wankers

Wonder what JB is thinking at the minute

  4. I would say not as much as much as he once did, however how much do you expect from anyone can who lives 10,000 miles away from Fir Park?

For me, living in a sunny paradise and still finding the time to sit in front of a computer to find out what's going on back home is enough. Plus I'm sure the launch of Motherwell TV in the new year will allow him to "contribute" enough that he doesn't attract more of your criticism.

Getting back to the thread, I agree with Kmcalpin, sometimes we are too quick to assume the worst or be over protective. For me this whole thing made it to light in a week with no football and no Celtic whining. If our management team were out of order then it was equally out of order for a employee of NLC to go to the press.

With respect to the chair of quango body that is NL Leisure, a councillor who for all we know was a postman, steelworker or trade unionist but I would bet almost definitely not a administrator/businessman with a track record of running a multi-million pound turnover organisation before his foray into politics. Maybe he should be looking at addressing a framework how the professional teams use the facility rather than sabre-rattling and citing over the top PC nonsense over his over-sensitive, molly-coddled, flexi-time, workshy employees.

    At last. An accurate post.

  5. Just a couple of weeks ago at the first salad dodgers night that he was saying how fit and well he felt.

Get well soon big man, you promised to come back and egg us on a bit further down the line

  6. Anyone else out there religiously buy their 50-50 ticket only to be totally unaware of the winning numbers due to the totally crap tannoy / pa system we have in the East Stand.

The numbers used to be published on the scoreboard but that seems to have stopped also. There doesn't seem to be any other way notifing people as the official has nothing, unless I'm mising something.

Just posting my feelings .........

  7. If the thinking was to take off a poor Sutton and allow Blackman too take up his role by putting Forbes into midfield then it made perfect sense, unfortunately that didn't seem to happen as Blackman continued to play in a wide left role.

Felt Page at least deserved a look in yesterday, 3 goals so far and accredited himself not to bad in his defensive role.

Based on yesterday I now think if we play to the strengths of our current squad then the formation is as follows:

    --------------------- Randolph ----------------------

    Saunders ---- Craigan --- Reynolds --- Hammell

    ----------------- Lasley --- Jennings ---------------

    Humphrey ---------- Murphy ----------------- Gow

    --------------------- Blackman ---------------------

    Sutton

    Forbes

    Page

    Hutchison

    McHugh

Not forgetting Sutton's threat in the air and the fact the midfield is a little sparse. This formation suits a rapid counter attack and if we get the goals at the beginning of the game, which CB seems to favour, then a few subs to shore up things. Plus Humphrey and Murphy seem to run out of steam after 60 minutes play.

Only thing that concerns me is that our central defence will probably be altered by January at the earliest and definitely by May. Craigan can't have many seasons left in him, which suggests a partnership with Saunders initially and then Hutchison replacing him. Leaving the RB open.

No Tom Hately in your team?

  8. There was nothing more miserable than standing on the terracing at Gorgie in the pishing rain watching us getting kicked off the park on a gray day with the rain slowly dripping down the back of yer neck by bams like Walter Kidd and Wayne Foster and knowing that after 90 mins of this slow death you'd then have to run for it or get a bleaching. First time I have said this in pure ages (and I'll make no apologies for this one) but, quite frankly, fuck Hearts....wankers! Those were some of the most miserable days of my life.

What about the fannies in the tenement behind the terracing. Shower of aids ridden pricks.

    FHW

  9. Simply Gorgie scum....

    FHW.

Remember the Texaco Cup games and all the games in the 80's where, as Pie says, you get a kicking and go home freezing.

Anyone remember the path around the brewery with the mirrors where you ran the guantlet. Bottles, bricks etc.

    FHW

  10. This is a great opportunity for all of us with the middle age spread. Personally this is ideal for me without committing to a direct debit to some gym. That may come later if/ when I start to benefit from this scheme.

All I can say is get aff yir fat arses and join in. You know who you are!!!!

  11. Aye. I'm completely burst at losing. Blaming Craigan, Humphrey, Blackman, Murphy, Dempster, Boyle, Broon, Knox, the main stand, the diving, the cheating, the referee, the paint on the stairs, the moss on the roof, Lasley, Hammell and Hateley is going to do precisely fuck all to change it. I understood the disappointment and anger last night but it seems to be rolling onto this evening as well. Its done. Move on.

    Spot on. Best post yet.

    C'mon the 'well

  12. The thing that really winds me up (which actually has nothing to do with Craigan) is we are just too nice and not clever enough. It infuriates me at times that opposing teams know how to play the game (and the ref) and get an advantage from it. Not cheating (and I wouldn’t be condoning it anyway) but, like the above poster mentioning. In the circumstances last night when we got the penalty, tempers were high, of course the Odense players are going to do everything in the power to slow the situation down (fuck knows what Carroll was doing sprinting 50 yards, knob), but why don’t we have brains to retaliate back. Why don’t we just get Saunders to pick the ball up and take the grief and then pass it to the penalty taker (please be Mr Hateley next time, for the love of God, he can hit a dead ball, ffs!). We just don’t seem on the ball to come up with ways round of opposition trying to delay/time waste etc. The one and only time I HAVE seen us do this was when Coach done in in Nancy for their penalty. Fuck, he walked up and sprayed the penalty area with the water bottle and proceeded to do keep uppies with it.

Another thing, ok, I might be condoning cheating a little (mind you, everyone else does it sadly) but twice Murphy could easily have went down and gave the ref a major headache whether to give a penalty or not in the first half.

There is moments where I wish we could be more clever when it comes to penalty situations, etc.

Back on topic though, I think Murphy could have done with a pep talk before the penalty (from Craigan). A simple, ‘keep the head’ in his ear could have calmed the boy down who was more than likely going like a battery. As much as I really like Murphy and he’ll be a big player this year, I just don’t have faith in his dead ball ability. I had this debate leaving the ground last night, even against Hibs I was convinced he would miss (very well took in the end) but, we always seem to think attacking players/strikers need to take spots kicks. Why can’t Hammell or Hateley take it? Would you let Murphy take a free-kick if both of them were on the park? Course you wouldn’t. So why should someone else take the freekick that’s not Hammell or Tom?

But Craigan, your about 35 years old now and you STILL let the ball bounce, I think that was the first rule I learned when I played football when I was younger, he is the most experienced pro by a mile in our squad and he still does ridiculous things in my eyes. Looking at Odense 2nd goal in the first leg, what the fuck was he doing 2 metres behind the line of defence? Your captain and the main man in that defence, you keep the line, don’t invent a new one and then leave the player unmarked and play him onside then decide to jump in like a school boy. Yes, I admit he’s done a lot of good for Motherwell and I respect what he does do, but ffs, he still does a tonne of daft stuff, I know hes not exactly Gerard Pique but it just seems simple. Don’t dive in, don’t let the ball bounce and hold your line along with the defence (I should also note, some of this Reynolds is guilty of too).

I just get frustrated with him, being so vastly experienced and he still does daft things IMO.

And I am prepared to be shot down, so fire away….

    Where do you sit? POD?

  13. Guys

I was in the POD last night. NEVER AGAIN........ the seats are shite and the ammount of pish that comes from so called football experts is astounding. Too many burds with "c'mon Mark baby, c'mon stevie honey. UTTER CRAP.

"Why the short corner, throw youself into a challenge 20 yards out." FUCK ME.......They know fuck all about football. I don't think any one of them has kicked a ball in their life's

    Rant over.

East stand on Sunday THANK FUCK :wallbash:
