  1. If we want the game played on Saturday we better lay some turf in front of the POD as previously suggested. No way will Iain Brines deem it playable after todays announcement by the SPL.

Better advise the groundstaff to do it now as guess what's coming towards the end of the week......SNOW

  2. What about planting some weeds. Not the jaggy ones though. Weeds take a pounding on my driveway and paths and they always come back nice and lush. They don't require all that much sun and can still be mown. Nice and natural also. No sore ankles as they are soft underground. The mossy ones that is.

Watch the sticky willies though as the small balls are murder to get off your socks.

  3. The referee for Saturday's game against Hibs is Euan Norris. The full list of match officials can be found by clicking http://www.SPLrefs.com

You will also find on the site a wide range of stats relating to Euan Norris including Motherwell games he has refereed and his general refereeing stats over the last 2 seasons.

Additionally, we are running a poll on our site to gauge fans opinions on what they see as the single most important change you would make to help improve refereeing.

We'd love you to vote as we are planning to communicate with the SFA soon and we will be feeding the results of our poll to them to let them understand the fans views on this important issue.

Are you having a laugh after last Wednesday?

  4. What about all the pish we were told when we had to play in Airdrie? All the crap about layers of soil and how it all knits together so it gets us through a bad winter. Where the f**k is the soil???? All I see is sand.

Get some grounds staff that know what they are doing and stop listening to all the waffle.

  5. I noticed that too, why did the ref not talk to him?

PS me and underboyleheating gave him pelter's for the rest of the game (as did very one else in the east stand)

Maybe the ref did talk to him!!!!

  6. Establishment closing ranks again, where the fuck's Dallas or hasn't he received a letter yet?

Dougal does have a point n what he's saying but it's not a good one. When the wee midget wakes up from his coma and realises Motherwell have scored he should have done nothing cos if he doesn't see it he can't give it. What he does do though, is say to himself "Oh fuck they've scored, what happened there? Shit, if I get this wrong I'll get dogs abuse. Best go wi' the Gers that way it'll be forgotten about by the weekend"

That to me is cheating and shitebaggery of the highest order.

Best word of the year. Classic and bang on! :whistling:

  7. I think Broon will have a tactical masterplan ready for this one. A plan that will negate Rangers midfielders and deny room to their forwards, whilst allowing us to put pressure on their defence.

Maybe I've spent too much time thinking about it, but this COULD be the way we line-up tomorrow night:

    ---------------------------------Ruddy--------------------------------------

    ----------Saunders--------------Craigan-----------------Reynolds------------

    Hateley--------------------------------------------------------------Hammell

    ----------------------Lasley----------------Jennings-------------------------

    ----------Sutton---------------Jutkiewitz----------------O'Brien-------------

My thinking is this. The back 3 outnumber the Rangers forwards whilst the wing-backs and central midfield match up to their 4.

By playing 3 up front it keeps their full backs occupied and prevents them from attacking, plus Sutty and Jimo can drop in to make us even more solid if needs be.

I like it, but I may be in a minority of one!!

Prediction? With that team we CAN'T lose!!!!

Lay aff the bevvy big man. 'bout as much chance of Brooney going with that formation as him and Erchie playing up front. I think we'll keep it tight.

  8. Well done Mr Boyle.

As I've said. Where ae we going to get someone with this kind of experience who isn't going to whore himself for a better offer.

Use his ability and experience to coach someone like Stephen Craigan for next boss.

Loyalty is the name of this game!!!

    C'mon the 'well

  9. It was never this bad during Andy Russells day. Don't blame the underground pipes either. As was stated before, why drive a tractor over a sodden, soaking wet piece of ground. Did the alledged foxes eat 4 out of 5 blades of grass also?

For the money we spent for this I would say it's a disgrace.

Christ even the guy who used to go after the balls that were kicked out the ground was stamping the sods down with his trainers.

This pitch will be rutted just like the last one in no time. Get a grip!!! <_<

  10. Give him the job for as long as he wants it.

Who else are we going to get with desire and experience that doesn't have one eye on a better offer. eg McLeish, McGhee, Gannon

    Craig and Archie for me.

    'Well til I die

    C'mon the Well

  11. Hats off to my three mates- Gippo, Big Albie and Dave Waddell. All travelled up to Snecky even though the games off. Feckin nutters.

Just had a call from Big Albie - been on the piss since 1.00 o'clock - mental local Snecky pubs with guys playing acoustic "smoke on the water" etc. and then heading off to Johnny Foxes for the rest of the night. Jammy gits. These boys are the salt of the Motherwell FC earth. Have a good night guys. Wish I was up there with you.

Cheers Ken, wish you could have made it.

Just back. What a night, absolutely belting atmosphere in Snekky. Love the place.

As for the game on Tuesday......... Pavements and car park at the stadium appear still untouched so I'd be pretty surprised if the game went ahead. City centre pavements were fine, no probs with the roads but more snow forcast for start of week.

    Inverurie all over again.

  12. What about a wee bit of loyalty from Slane? We've probably made him the player he is. He's played a couple of Euro games or us (only one team worth mentioning) and 20 or so minutes against Stohnstone. All of a sudden he's a star!

Fair enough, from what I've seen he seems an excelent prospect, but Celtic????

JO'B, Dorothy (McBride) were all excellent prospects with Celtic but only now they are fulfilling their worth.

As has been said many times on this thread he would be better playing with us than with Celtics youth team.

Once JB returns hopefully things can be sorted

  13. To watch the footie,Id reccommend Smith + Jones or Lauders, Lauders is more of a dodgy old mans pub bt decent craic n Smith+Jones is like an upmarket Spoons

Thanks. Maybe try one of them. Does that Sports Bar next to the Peonix still exist? There was a bit of trouble in the last time though but the guy who owns it seemed a decent lad. I think it may be Dino's or something like that.

  14. Bus booked, Hotel booked, overnight in Snekkie wi a few mates on the swally.

Aye, the hotel can be cancelled but I'm not forfieting the bus fare. We've planned this since the Hibs game and it's not too often we can get together. Pissed off the games off but this is an exact replica of what happened in Inverurie.

Well fans on tour...............Game on or off???
