  1. Johan Absalonsen was unfortunately unjured in yesterdays match and won't be ready for Thursday.

Gislason SHOULD be ready, and so is Henrik Toft, our new physical attacker.

We played a great match against Brøndby IF yesterday, who beat Sporting Lissabon 2-0 last week. We had 2-0 until minute 84, where TWO... TWO referee mistakes gave them two goals (even though they only had 10 players).. First one was a penalty kick, which I believe shouldn't have been judged.. Second goal was OK... If it wasn't because the scoring player brought the ball under control with his hand just before the goal.

Our Hans Henrik Andreasen scored an amazing free-kick goal with the Jabulani, and Peter Utaka scored with a header.

Anyways... We didn't play up to the standards, so I think it will be 60/40 to you.

Unfortunately I can't go to the match, since I have other plans next week... And it doesn't seem like there's a TV team on Fir Park on Thursday.. Can that really be true?? Thought every Europa League match were sent in TV... Even Danish 1st division football is shown in TV.. So that's odd

It's on Al-Jazera Sport 5 if you can find a pub with a satellite system. It'll probably be streamed also

    Good luck

  2. Still no news on this??? I got an IOU a Motherwell home strip for my birthday on the 4th of July which I'm still waiting on!

    Hey guys

I'm wi Jimmo on this. Why not sell the top without the sponser then. Who goes on their summer hols wi an old strip anyway !!!!!!! :)

  3. Looks like Norwegian televison (TV2) has chosen to broadcast Molde - Stuttgart insted of Aafk - Motherwell. : /

Showing on ZDF free to air from Germany. Stuttgart - Molde that is !!!

  4. Great day out !! Can't even remember the name of the wee pub we were in. Across from the Station. Great banter and singin' wi some Ayr fans. Christ do they hate Killie. Nearly as much as we hate Airdrie (scum).

A couple of Well fans there also including the wee burd who get pregnant pretty quickly at half time only to lose the "baby" when Tom Hateley asked for the ball back ten minutes later!!! Brilliant!!!

Where was Broonie at the game. Not in the dugout

  5. All booze is banned on all buses, but theres ways around rules like that. :D

Choo Choo for us. Canny be bothered wi any rightous jobsworth bastards tellin us the rules

    C'mon the well

  6. For anyone interested, there`s a bus that runs from hamilton bus station to Ayr every hour. It only stops at Kilmarnock and then right into the Ayr bus station 55mins. and only £12 return

Will this be like Mega bus and have a booze ban?

  7. ??? What have I missed?

I thought you meant the first game of the season against Hibs, which is in Motherwell. Posted then noticed your date of Nov 13th which is in Edinburgh. Never heard of the Triangle myself either..... <_>

  8. probably doesn't compare to the abuse he gives his own team mates when he isn't getting his own way. maybe if he cut out the moaning and petulance he would be as good as he thinks he is

    +1

  9. We should have beaten the Filth at the Bowl and I was still a tad low on Wednesday. However, I was driving along Great Western Road in Aberdeen when I saw a young lad, no more than 5 or 6 years old pushing his scooter along the pavement and fully clad in a complete 'Well strip , (shirt, shorts and socks the lot). He looked proud as punch, his chest stuck out as he said to the world .... I'm a Motherwell fan and proud of it.

It brought a big smile to my face, as I thought good on you wee man. You probably aint seen us win a thing and probably may not ...... yet your hope is eternal.

And I say to the plethora of negative posters of Tuesday night .... if you want to support a team you expect to win trophies every year then best go support someone else. If you want to support a team who'll guarantee you European football every season then best go support someone else. If you want to support a team who'll guarantee you a Top-6 finish every season then best go support someone else.

Motherwell have punched well above their weight for decades, and many of you lot have been spoiled beyond belief, and deserve. Just look at Dundee, Partick and Dunfermline ..... that could so easily be us, but it's not ........... so rejoice in supporting a team who are fighting for 3rd spot in the SPL in a season where many pundits had us relegated, which we started with a handfull of players and a new manager - and who left 1/2 way thru.

We are not Barcelona, we are not AC Milan, and never will be. We are Motherwell FC, from a small town less than 20miles from 2 of the biggest football clubs in the world. It's a Rollercoaster Ride, and during the last 20yrs of our 125yr history we've been reletively spoiled, so get on, grip tightly and stop complaining.

    Hope is eternal.

Well said Big Man.Couldn't have put it any better.

    C'mon the 'Well :D

  10. Nothing like this forum to get the guys confidence shattered. Whether we like it or not, he is all we've got in the meantime.

Dare I suggest a bit of support for the final few games of the season?

  11. Never mind Rentokil or Forbes, but what would you rather have out of the two descriptions above?

I quite liked Yass in the early days but his confidence went really quickly when so called fans started booing him. Lets hope Ross can get his confidence up a bit before the boos come on matchday.

Out of the 2 of them I think I'll opt for Forbes.

  12. I guess what we're looking for is someone between Rossco and big Yass.

Rossco: Slow as f*&k but what a touch and abilitiy to pass/shoot.

Yass: Fast as f*&k but crap at the touch and couldn't cross himself.

Get a grip and give the boy a chance. He'll come good!

  13. Pitch will not improve much until growing season begins in earnest maybe next month. Best course of action is to resed most of it as soon as possible after last game. There is no short term solution. Growing medium should be ok - just reseed.

Would that be the sandy looking stuff that gets stomped down with size 11 rigger boots.

Maybe that's what's wrong, the grassy side is upside down

  14. It looks good but the real test will be when the first slide tackle goes. Will it start cutting up badly or will it play like a normal pitch ? Let's hope it's the latter.

Unfortunately it was the former. The pitch was an absolute disgrace and in my opinion went against us yesterday. Our players had no confidence in running with the ball on it.

Compared to St Mirrens pitch, which came under a bit of criticism lately and now looks fantastic, ours is a joke.
