Here we go troops - Rob McKinnon follows in the footsteps of Brian Martin and Kevin Twaddle, joining us to pick his all-time dream XI from the players he played with throughout his career. It's a great listen. Particularly as we chin him about congratulating van der Gaag on the Motherwell job! What a frightening midfield he picks too... Thoroughly recommend watching the video if you can as it features some great wee features and additions thanks to Davie aka "VS media" aka "the unseen/unheard fourth member of the podcast team" (like the fourth cunt from Green Day). But a few folk had also suggested they'd prefer the option to listen to the audio file away from YouTube, so we're going to start putting them on our Soundcloud too. You can find it here: https://soundcloud.com/bytheminsport/mfc-podcast-xi-rob-mckinnon
  3. Usually take a while to warm to our new kits but both of these are belters.

Absolutely no idea what was actually wrong with the audio file but I somehow managed to get it sorted today (I think/hope). It seems to be working now, so please crack on and let us know if there are still any issues... It might be late but here it is - the latest summer special with RICHIE FORAN. We're tentatively sharing this just in case there are still issues with it, so if there are let us know - but we're quietly confident that we've got there in the end... "Former Motherwell star Richie Foran joins Sparra, Busta & Jay to discuss his time at Fir Park, his current role at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Gaelic football, and the Megabar. Disclaimer: We've had a few issues with the audio file for this one. If it doesn't work on a phone or tablet, please try a laptop or PC. If you experience any issues with it, please let us know." As usual, it can be found on iTunes or here: SOUNDCLOUD: https://soundcloud.com/bytheminsport/bytheminmfc-podcast-37 LIBSYN: http://traffic.libsyn.com/bytheminmfc/RichieFinal.mp3

We've been recording the career XI dream team feature with both Sieb Dijkstra and Rab McKinnon today - those will be up on YouTube in the coming weeks. For those who listen to the podcast but haven't yet given the I-XIs a listen, you definitely should - some of the chat concerning certain players is absolutely brilliant. We've had Kevin Twaddle's and Brian Martin's sides so far (below), and as well as Sieb and Rab, teams from other summer guests Shaun Teale, Jim Paterson and Richie Foran will be done too. For those asking, we also asked Rab about the van der Gaag as manager situation - you'll need to listen to hear that once it's online... But aye, get involved in this feature if you have 15 mins to spare - it's easily my favourite part!

That's the drunken Henderson laugh it seems. Believe it or not, it's more Scott than myself - his laugh while Sparra's asking about the scarf is a thing of beauty. It's obviously in the genes...

As some of you may have been aware, there was a reason for some celebrations on Sunday evening.... During said celebrations we also recorded a short podcast.... As the title may suggest, this was recorded in the pub in Motherwell following the glorious 2nd leg playoff victory at Fir Park. And also after a large amount of alcohol over the course of the day. Needless to say the result is a load of drunken mince - do not expect anything remotely professional, intelligent, or clean (we've even bleeping some stuff out)! Sparra, Busta and Jay feature as always, and are joined by Scott Henderson, Dave Taylor and Martyn Venables in this booze fest. In a bid to salvage some modicum of professionalism, we'll be taking down this particular episode when our summer time ex-player podcasts begin - so listen while you can... or sensibly choose not to bother... https://soundcloud.com/bytheminsport/bytheminmfc-meltitpodcast
  8. Vuckic looked decent at times in the league for Sevco but, unsurprisingly, didn't have the quality to step up to the level of facing an SPL club in the play-offs (and a pretty poor one at that, given our season and league position). As Al B suggests, he seems a very easy player to read and defenders at our level sussed him out relatively easily as a result. Not for me.
  9. Exactly. We're at the level where decent defenders with raw potential come to us and hopefully then eradicate the lapses in concentration and the odd mistakes, which subsequently leads to them getting a bigger move. If those lapses or mistakes weren't there, he'd be no where near Fir Park to begin with. I'd be delighted if we signed Laing, really came onto a game the last few weeks of the season and exactly the kind of player we should be aiming for.
  10. Sounds a decent enough signing. Left back was definitely one of the positions on the shopping list and he sounds like he has a decent level of ability at least (given he was in and around the Celtic first-team and capped at all levels of youth international) and presumably good potential. Possible long term replacement for Hammell if it works out. And so the rebuilding begins...
  11. Was talking about this with a few others last night. To be fair, I was content with just one new centre midfielder giving us Lasley, Pearson, Leitch, Cadden and one other, so a second CM would only really be last on the priority list and only if someone worth while was available.
  12. I had it down as two strikers rather than three but other than that, that's my shopping list too. Definitely one of the most interesting rebuilding jobs we've had in some time. Looking forward to seeing how Baraclough pieces things together.
  13. If it was during pre-season I'd agree, but Baraclough came in midway through a terrible season and had to mount an immediate campaign for survival. It's up to players to prove to the manager they want and deserve to be a part of those efforts every day in training, not sit about and wait for a chance in the team when we potentially can't afford the risk, and then moan about it on Twitter or at sponsor's evenings. There are folk pissed off with their boss all over the world both in and out of football, that's fair enough - there's no rule that you have to get on or agree with your manager. But you're still expected to knuckle down and be a professional, and it seems doubtful if that can be said about someone like Carswell. It's largely irrelevant now anyway. The two main players in this chat - Cummins and Carswell - are gone and, as has been mentioned, there doesn't seem to be any issues with Moore's attitude or work ethic.
  14. Sounds a wee bit like a boys club mentality where a few of the lads have enjoyed a cushty wee number under McCall, even although they weren't playing, and have been put out by a new gaffer with a different style, probably expecting a lot more hard work from his players. Would certainly go a little towards explaining the complete shambles of a team mentality left behind by McCall.

Needless to say, yesterday was a bit of a right off due to the celebrations after Ibrox and it's taken us a little longer to get this podcast online. However, we recorded late last night and it's here now - former Motherwell winger Kevin Twaddle joins Sparra, Busta and Jay to revel in the glorious 3-1 victory and look ahead to Sunday. There are three particular highlights in this podcast - Twads being a top, top guest once again; a fantastic outro; and one of the three podcast team members in particular still sounding blotto from the night before. Give it a listen - this should definitely be a part of your pre-match preparations... Scenes

Outstanding support last night, the Ibrox seats have left my legs in utter tatters. What a night.
  20. Aye, cos that's how it works. Such suggestions just show how thick some of these Sevco rockets actually are.
  21. If it is, no doubt the Sevco fans will be claiming it's down to 5,000 of them in the home end.
  22. I would treat any chat from Sevco fans about getting quantities of home end tickets with a pinch of salt. We have one of our own fans on here saying they haven't even been able to get past the checks, the vast majority of Rangers fans on forums - particular those boasting large numbers of home end tickets - are just making it up. As I said earlier, it seems to be more about a bit of bravado in boasting to other folk you have a ticket, rather than actually having any. By all accounts the ticket office have turned away a huge number of chancers.
  23. We're in the ridiculous situation where guys like Johnstone and McCall - whether consciously or sub-consciously - are effectively giving thick Sevco fans the green light for causing blame-free trouble (when in reality it would be entirely their own fault obviously). The two of them can get fucked.
  24. The club have been doing an excellent job of turning away the Rangers fans which is exactly why they've ended up trying to use Well Society names off the website etc (that fails too because they don't know the addresses or have the membership card). There will undoubtedly be a few that will slip through the net, particularly those who bought their tickets before this week, but any claims to there being thousands of Rangers fans in the home end (or 30 Rangers fans with tickets together for the East Stand) are just made up. It really is that simple. And if there are any stupid enough to buy tickets for the East Stand, they'll probably get a bit of a doing and then chucked out, like what happened to a few Celtic fans in the sections around us on Skippy Sunday. I'd just leave them to it though - presumably it's about boasting about having tickets to Sevco fans without them, even though anyone with a brain cell clocks they're almost certainly lying. It's kind of cute.
  25. Aye, God forbid some folk just choose to be positive this week rather than assuming it's all a foregone conclusion with no point in turning up. Madness.
