Just in, enjoyable day, nice stadium although pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Walked from town centre in blazing heat, wish had got a taxi! Game was pretty tame stuff to be honest, we had better of the 1st half they probably shaded the 2nd. Good practise for the boys if we draw a team from somewhere hot in the Europa.

McDonald isn't in any of the pics put on Facebook from training in Spain. Certainly not opposed to him coming back but really can't see it happening.

Poor journalism from the Evening Times No quote from McCall even mentioning McManus, all he says is "We are also looking to add defensively and we have options."

Wouldn't believe anything on that transfer rumours site. Still hoping Faddy signs on but will wait until it actually happens before I get excited. (This time!) No chance Scott McDonald will be coming back.

From @MotherwellFC Motherwell can confirm their second pre-season friendly of the summer with an away trip to face Morecambe on Saturday 20th July. Not Doncaster then, bummer!

I like the idea of a Hutchinson / McManus partnership, could see that working well. Of course that would mean keeping hold of Hutchy! Still remember a horrendous tackle McManus made, think it was on his Celtic debut against us, might've been 1st game of the season. Should've been a straight red & he didn't even get a yellow if I remember correctly! Sure I'll forgive him if he were to come in & do the business for us though.

Teams that where in CL can drop into EL. There would've been the possibility we could have faced any of the 3 on our road to Europa League glory at some stage.....

SSN: Sky Sources - Tom Hateley & Michael Higdon to reject new contract offers at Motherwell. Knew big Higgy was away but thought Hateley might've still been with us next season. If true at least we know where we stand & can get on with finding replacements.

Think it rules them out as possible opponents at any stage...........

If he'd signed another extension we wouldn't be in any doubt, the club would've been shouting it from the rafters!

Totally agree, no chance we'd be offering 4 years to a 30 year old, or anyone of any age to be honest. Possibly 2 years with an option of a 3rd.
